WOOFY GROOM ROOM
Terms and Conditions
The following information may need to be collected before your dogs first groom:
• Name
• Postal address
• Email address
• Contact telephone numbers
• Veterinary contact details
• Information relevant to your dog
The information gathered will be used for:
• Internal record keeping
• Contact regarding your dog’s appointments
•

Promotions
• Emergencies
• Your information will not be shared with any third party without your permission
• Your information will be kept on our client record cards, T&C consent form and appointment booking system
• Information will be kept securely for up to one year after your dog’s last visit
Welfare
A health check will be carried out before every groom. If there are any concerns the owner will be informed either before the groom or after. I am not a medical professional, and I can only alert the owner to possible medical issues and advise the owner to seek veterinary attention. In the event that a vet should need to be consulted during the groom, Woofy Groom Room will not be liable for the fees unless caused by us in which case we will require a full medical report from the vet within 24 hours for our insurers. Aggression
Please inform me of any previous aggression your dog has shown or difficult behaviours. I reserve the right to refuse to groom a dog that I feel could cause harm to myself. If a dog shows aggression during the groom I have the right to use a muzzle. If the groom can not be completed due to the dog’s behaviour or welfare of the dog, the owner agrees to pay for any work carried out to that point. Matted Fur
The welfare of your dog is always my priority, I will attempt to remove mats before shaving but if this causes your dog distress or pain then I will shave the coat. A severely matted coat will be shaved close to the skin using clippers. This can sometimes cause skin irritation or skin nicks. I will not be held responsible for any after effect caused by this. Brushing your dog regularly can prevent these situations and I am happy to advise on grooming tools and information regarding your dog’s coat and grooming needs. There may be an extra cost if the dog is severely matted to cover extra time and wear on tools. Woofy Groom Room has full public liability insurance to cover damage, accident or loss to your pet or our staff. Cancellation of Appointments
Please give me 48 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or rearrange your appointment. I understand this cannot always be possible, but it may incur a fee due to loss of time. This is at my discretion. Photographs
For marketing and promotional purposes photographs may be taken of your dog. These may be used on the website and social media. Please inform us if you do not wish your pet to be photographed and used for marketing purposes.

Tick season is upon us. It's a good idea to check your dogs all over especiallyif they've been in long grass. . I have found 2 live ticks on the inside of dogs ears this week.

Just an update on the reduction of salon opening hours. Moving forward, due to ongoing health issues with my shoulder, back and hands (Osteoarthritis related) I will be working on a very part time basis and reducing the number of dogs I do each day. This may mean you have to wait a bit longer between grooms. I understand this may not suit everyone but I don't have much choice. Once again thank you for choosing me and I appreciate your understanding.

Ralph came in today for his first puppy groom. Ralph is a bit behind in his grooming schedule and was not comfortable with the process at all so considering this he did really well. It's so important to introduce your puppy to grooming early on. It's better to do it slowly and gradually. That way it's not so stressful for your little one.

Not dog related but a friend rescued this little kitten and she is now in need of a new forever home. Please contact me if you can help.

Her name is Eden which she does answer to. She is around 10 weeks old and was abandoned on a doorstep so we rescued her and took her in. She is very playful and loves to be cuddled. She’s a tortoiseshell. She can be with other cats and dogs and does stick up for herself. She's on wet cat food (in jelly) but does eat dry biscuits and overall has a big appetite for a small cat. She has also been flead and wormed.

I have these gorgeous diamontè felt dog bows for sale at £3.50 each for this size which is medium. Approximately 3"x2" in size and slip onto your dogs collar. They can also be made in small and large and different colours. I can post them out by Royal Mail at extra cost.
