A huge THANK YOU to the amazing Breast Cancer Services Team at Princess Anne Hospital.
Just before Christmas, they delivered these wonderful donations for our animals, bringing holiday cheer and wagging tails all around! 🐈🐕

🐱 Caturday 🐱

Yes, we know your 2025 diet started already. We know you’ve thrown out all the junk food. But that’s why there is extra room in your home for one more ‘Mince Pie’ and maybe a little ‘Pudding’. You can find their profile below and if you’re interested in adopting these scrumptious kittens, please fill out an application form and return it to us.

About me: Mince-pie & Pudding came to us when they were 8 weeks old after being found in a garden. They were initially very nervous of people and although are becoming more confident each day, they will need a quiet home to settle into.

Cats: Yes, they could live with another cat after a careful introduction.

Dogs: No, they are scared of dogs.

Children: 12 years and over.

Ideal home: They would like a garden to explore once they’ve settled in.

About me: Bonnie is a stunning leggy blonde girl! She is very gentle and is more shy than most greyhounds. She does take time to get used to people so multiple meets will need to be done with her.

Cats: No, she will chase.

Dogs: Yes, she would prefer to live with another similar sized dog after several meets here at the shelter. She could be an only dog in the right home.

Children: 12 years and over.

Ideal home: Bonnie is a retired racer, she hasn’t lived in a home before so will need to learn about living in a home environment. She will need access to a garden to have zoomies in, before lying on the sofa the rest of the day. She would prefer a quieter home.

💕 Forever Home Friday 💕

Handsome Hamish went off to start a trial period in his new home in early December, and unsurprisingly settled in perfectly - as if he had always been there! We were so pleased to finalise his adoption just before Christmas, and to see that he truly has landed on his feet! 🥹

“From the first time we met Hamish we knew he had completely stolen our hearts. Following successful meets and walkies at the shelter he arrived home a couple of weeks before Christmas. He is so funny and mischievous and we are so lucky to have found him. He loves everyone and has made lots of new friends out on his walks. We can’t imagine our home without Hamish. Thank you so much St Francis for all that you do and for allowing us to give Hamish’s his forever home, we love him so much 💕🐶💕”

💕 Forever Home Friday 💕

A few months ago we got a call about a mum and kittens that were living outside in a garden centre. The kittens were already about 8 weeks old when they arrived at the shelter, so they were initially very wary of all the new people they were meeting each day. Over time they have grown in confidence and trust. It is so wonderful to see how this little one has done with a patient and loving owner!

“We welcomed one of Prudence’s Kittens, now known as Peanut, into our home on 27th November. She arrived a little scared and wouldn’t come out of the pet carrier, but with some time and space we were able to stroke her and get her purring. To now three weeks on where she will come on our laps for cuddles and strokes. She loves a fuss and a play!”

Three more kittens from Prudence’s litter will be looking for their forever homes in the new year 😻
