Arlo delivered some important news to one of our nurses Amy today, as she has been nominated for the award of PetPlan veterinary nurse of the year! Fantastic work and well done Amy🥳

Rosie is a special little border collie who has unfortunately had bad experiences at the vets previously and so has needed a lot of work and focus on social visits and muzzle training over the last 3-4 months🐶
She has been coming regularly (usually once a week) to see Veterinary Nurses Kirsty and Paige, who have been working on getting her confident in the practice and muzzle training.
This video was taken last week at her social visit, prior to beginning her visits we were unable to even get Rosie through the door of the practice. She was incredibly anxious and scared, and would not even enter the building without being forced through the entrance. However, after 3 months of positive reinforcement and enjoyable visits you can see the dramatic progress she has made! She gets VERY excited to see Kirsty or Paige each week, we now can’t stop her from trying to get straight through the door!! She has been very responsive to muzzle training. Initially the muzzle was very scary for Rosie and she would not even tolerate it being near her, now she will willingly put her nose in it and have it in place for a full consultation, and regularly wears it at home to keep up the positive association with the muzzle.
We are all so proud of her for her progress and we will continue to work with her over her years at the practice🥰🖤
Thor is a beautiful cat who has unfortunately had to visit us a lot over the last few years due to some ongoing health problems. He recently had to stay with us for a few days after he was feeling very under the weather, but thanks to vet Rebecca’s treatment (and lots of TLC from our nurses!) Thor was soon feeling much better and able to go home again.
Here he is in his kennel enjoying some fuss and some catnip on a toy given to him by one of our nurses🖤
We always aim to make our cat clinic as friendly and calm as possible for our feline patients, and as you can see, it usually works. Here’s beautiful Smokey who is currently under the care of cats protection having a fuss during her recent visit😻
Lots of tasty snacks for Peter when he stayed with us for castration recently🐰 as you can see, he was hardly phased by his day spent at the vets!
