Some top tips to keep your pets safe this Halloween
🎃 Avoid walking nervous dogs this evening. If you do, ensure their collar/harness is super secure incase they become spooked
🎃 Halloween inspired dress up for pets can be stressful. If your pet is already used to wearing a coat or jumper switching to a Halloween design will be unlikely to bother them, but if not stick with human dress up
🎃 If your pet is a scavenger be careful with access to sweets, their wrappers and potentially mouldy pumpkins
🎃 Chocolate is toxic to dogs, ensure they are kept out of reach, especially if you have a bowl full of chocolates by the front door ready for trick or treaters
🎃 Shut dogs away when answering the door, not only is it an escape risk, but your dog will not understand the concept of Halloween fun and it can cause them stress and anxiety being surprised with masks, loud boos and props
🎃 Fireworks have become common over Halloween, consider bringing rabbits inside, if they are house outside and nervous cats may benefit being kept in just for a few hours
