Thursday afternoon walk around Edinburgh park. We could not believe the lovely 🌞 weather no jacket or equafleeces on.Rufus, luna and Nala (red fox lab) running around the fields and of course muddy puddles. Poor Misty was so happy playing with a stick. Until Luna, bobby and Rufus wanted to play with it. Misty for once didn't back down she kept her stick.

Thursday morning walk around Edinburgh park 😀. Maise found and stick and everyone wanted it 😆 🤣. Nugget, Nell and Scout had great time playing together ❤️.

It has been brought to my attention that the City Of Edinburgh Council has been making some proposed changes to the Management Rules for Public Parks, Beaches, and Green Spaces.

Please note section 4.15 in the attached picture. They propose to ban all commercial dog walkers (me) from council land. So, in short, every walking location that I use to walk the pawsome pups.

Now i am, and have been since 2019, registered with the City of Edinburgh Council as a professional dog walker. When signing up, they ask where you will be walking the dogs, and all places I use were listed. At this stage, I have no idea if registered dog walkers will have any leg to stand on. However, I have a feeling this will be a blanket ban!

Not to be all dramatic, but the future of Pawsome Walkies Edinburgh, as you know it may be at risk...dum, dum dummmmm!!!!!

I can fully appreciate the need to keep our public areas safe, and I personally do feel commercial dog walking should have some type of regulations. Unfortunately, there are a small few who simply do not have the dogs (or publics) best interest at heart when they offer a dog walking service.

However, a blanket ban just isn't the appropriate route! There are so many amazing professional dog walkers that go above and beyond to keep our shared spaces safe and clean (many picking up others rubbish and dog 💩!!!).

Please take a few minutes to make a difference 🙏

Wednesday afternoon walk up bonaly country park. Everyone was full of energy so we decided to climb some hills. Nala, biscoff and rufus had a great time chasing each other. Max was happy playing with sticks. Everyone was happy to get back to the van 😆.

Wednesday morning walk at west Craigs. Plenty of fun playing together ❤️. Our wee crew member Benji is back out with us. I was trying to take a picture and then Loki decided to jump up on me and took me down in a big muddy puddle. Willow won the award for getting the dirtiest.

Lovely Tuesday morning walk at west craigs. We lost track of time but the dogs didn't seen to care. We walked into Cammo for a puppuccino. Nugget decided she wasn't going to share so she grabbed a cup and ran off with it.

Monday afternoon walk at edinburgh park. We had lots of running round and playing in the puddles. Luna tried her best to play with Max but he wasn't up for it lol.

New dirty paws dog crew member Frankie. Frankie is a 4 1/2 year old he loves going big walks and playing in dirty puddles. He has made loads of new friends already.

Second 2025 dirty crew member Alfie he's 3.5 year old. He had amazing walk with us. He loves finding sticks and wants us the throw them. Misty now has a competition trying to catch the sticks 😆.

Our first 2025 new dirty paws crew member. Rufus is 1 year tibetan terrier he's fully of energy loves new adventures. He had amazing time with all his new pals. But his best friends are crazy Luna of course and wee bobby.

What a great start of 2025 with my morning crew. All the dogs happy to be back together ❤️. Scout and Nugget had a great time rolling in the snow. I had to pick up wee mj so he hid in my jacket.

Tuesday afternoon walk around Norton house hotel. It was Lunas turn to roll in fox 💩 💩. Bobby was so happy he kept doing zoomies. Everyone had a great time playing together ❤️ even wee George joined in.

Tuesday morning walk around Edinburgh park. Omg 😲 Maise found the longest stick and she carried it most of the walk. All the dogs where trying to stay out of her way 😆. I really dont know how maise managed to carry it all that time. Abe even joined in the madness playing with Rudi.

What a very windy start to our week. Monday morning we headed upto corstorphine hill. The dogs had a great time playing with sticks and of course Maise had found the longest stick and she kept hitting it off the back of my leg 🦵. We also have a new iPhone so all the dogs happy testing it out. Still need to workout how to edit them and all the fancy setting.
