Let me introduce myself. I am Anne Drysdale and I live in Corstorphine. I retired nearly 4 years ago and have quite a lot of time on my hands which I would love to spend by caring for your precious fur babies. I have a lifelong love of all animals and have a particular affection for cats. I have had a few beloved cats over the years of both moggies and pedigrees. I also used to attend cat shows with my 2 gorgeous Burmese cats for a while but, sadly, they have now passed on. One of my Burmese developed diabetes when she was 15 years old and I had to give her twice daily insulin injections which gave her a good quality of life until she finally passed on aged 20. I now live in a small flat and only have one indoor cat now. I adopted her 3 years ago as she was rescued from Spain by an Edinburgh lady who had been working out there for a few years and in fact she came back with 41 rescued cats needing homes. My daughter also adopted one of the cats as we are all devoted cat lovers. My little Spanish tabby came with the name Precious and she really is precious to me. When she first came into my home she was very traumatised by the overland journey from Spain and it took a lot of love and reassurance to make her the adorable little minx she is today.

It can be quite traumatic for a cat to be taken off to a cattery for the time you are away. I provide a cat sitting service in your own home to ensure your cat experiences as little disruption as possible with visits as agreed with you. I am very honest, reliable and trustworthy and will take the greatest care of your treasured cat/s. I will play with them, ensure they are fed to your specifications, clean out litter trays, groom them and provide a comfy lap for a cuddle. I will also treat your home and surroundings with the greatest care and respect and can carry out security safeguards such as gathering up mail from your front door and putting it aside for you, putting out bins on bin days to indicate you are at home, opening and closing blinds/curtains etc. I can also water your plants and carry out a basic shop for your return if required. Should you have any concerns about your cat whilst you are away I can also send you updates with photos on request.

I have insurance cover and a Basic Disclosure Certificate. I am also able to give tablets or injections if required.

Per visit I charge £7 for each half hourly and £12 for each hourly with visit lengths and frequencies specified by you.

I would love to hear from you and am happy to answer any questions you may have regarding my suitability at an initial free meeting with you and your cat family.
