Newbieeeee - This is Keeva who is a nearly 7 month old Retriever. She’s been waiting suuuper patiently to join us and we’ll be working her up to our pack walks for when she’s old enough and ready 🐾

Yip and this is why we have high standards for our pack walks! Minimum one month or more of solo walks to assess your dog fully before introducing them to high stimulus environments. If your dogs behaviour drops below satisfactory then we will re-assess their position on our packs. Keeping your dogs safe, us safe and the public safe. 🐾

Question regarding dog walkers?

I’ve worked with lots of owners who all had the same (or very similar) story - their dog had run away, generally taking off chasing after another animal - deer is a common one - when under the care of their dog walker.

I’m wondering what criteria the dog walkers are looking for when deciding whether or not the dogs in their care and control are to be trusted off lead in open countryside, woodland, parkland, heath or moorland?

When that dog is your responsibility, how do you know how it will react or how responsive it is off lead, when folllowing scent or chasing other animals?

I would be absolutely horrified if I lost a dog belonging to someone who had trusted me to keep it safe. My anxiety and ‘what iffery’ would be through the roof!! I’d literally feel sick. I’d also be livid if I were the owner. I wouldn’t personally trust anyone else with my dogs off lead for the sake of a walk.

I’m not having a go at dog walkers. I’m just wondering how you can be sure that you can keep someone else’s dog safe when you unclip the lead outside of a heavily secured area? What do you base your judgement on and what measures do you have in place if the dog takes off whilst you have others to take care of?

We are stopping our boarding services as of 2025‼️

We have taken a lot time to think about this and although we have been granted our boarding license after moving house with no issues, we are disappointed with the lack of support from Fife council and their values not aligning with ours (stating we are not allowed to use dog crates, dogs have to be walked together (this isn’t always possible), among other things!!😵‍💫). None of these things being on their written terms and had only been brought up on the day of inspection so it was a bit of a surprise for us.

This paired with us trying to maintain a healthy work life balance has made us come to the decision to no longer take on new boarding enquiries & will be solely focusing on our walking services.

We have been in touch with people that we have regrettably had to let down. All other bookings that have not had prior communication will be fully honoured.

We can’t reiterate enough that this decision hasn’t come lightly & we are so so thankful for the support that we have received from our clients over the years. We have been so lucky to have met such amazing dogs and made some forever friends…😭

sweet gal Tyra had her first walk with us today and will be joining us for Daycare. She has such a gentle and lovely nature. She really impressed Lewis with her confidence and fabulous lead walking when out with him today (she’s 14 months old!!🥹)🐾

Speaking of Staffies…. Ozzy the best boy enjoying his solo with Caitlin today ❤️Ozzy enjoys both pack walks and solos with us & it’s always a competition between Lewis and Caitlin of who’s walking him because he’s just such a joy to have 🤣❤️
