❤️We carried out our first course yesterday and it was a great success 😁 ... big thanks to the lovely Denise and amazing wee Casi for coming along and taking part 🥰... I'll now be offering a slot on 13th of September so please send a message if you want to book ... this course will run for around 4 to 5 hours and is suitable for most dogs although times and costs will flucuate depending on what type of dog and what level of grooming you are looking to learn ... send a message with some details of your dog and your expectations and I'll get back to you .... thanks ❤️❤️❤️

❤️I'm putting together a new course for owners who want to learn to groom their own dogs ... it will be a 1 day course and will require u to bring ur dog to the salon where I will work with you to teach you how groom them .. u will be advised on the best equipment to invest in and be guided step by step through grooming your dog ... you will be able to use the saloms equipment on the day ... the cost of this course will be £200 and spaces will be limited ... please note this will be a basic information course centered around your own dog and its own behavioural and grooming needs .. if this is something you would be interested in please message the page ❤️

❤Do you want to start a career in Dog Grooming?

🥰In an unregulated industry its so important to get the best start for you and the dogs you are going to be working with and our training programme was carefully created to do just that

🥰In an intense 4 week course you will be grooming from day 1 and complete 32+ dogs in total, a mix of breeds, shapes and sizes .. our model dogs are carefully selected to give you the best possible variety of the most common pet breeds your likely to work with

🥰During this course you will learn about dog behaviour and how they think to help u with the handling skills required ... you will also learn about welfare issues and k9 first aid

🥰You will also learn more about cleint expectations and management of that and skills to do successful informative handovers

🥰You are provided with a starter kit to help u become familiar with your own tools included in the course cost

🥰U will be the only student with constant supervision from your trainer learning within in a busy established grooming salon

🥰You will be advised on what and where to go next in your grooming journey and ongoing support if required

🥰You will be required to come for an Intro Day prior to commiting to the course to ensure you understand exactly what's involved in being a groomer

🥰This course is intense and although we don't have homework or exams we expect you to show initiative in your own research and learning .. it's also fun in a happy environment

❤️Starting week 3 tomorrow and our student Lesley-Anne is already shaping up into a great little groomer and we are only half way through ... shes learning so much about handling and managing our gorgeous wee model dogs .. can't wait to see how much more progress we make this week 😁 ... Still a space on the course starting 1st Aug at the moment and as this is now a 1 to 1 course it's working out so much better ... it feels like we can really work alot more on the handling of the dogs and sharing more information and more of the many different techniques we can use to make it a much better learning experience for the groomer .. get in touch if u want to come for an Intro Day to see what its all about ❤️❤️❤️

❤️The first 4 wee models in our academy this week and after only 2 days u can see Lesley-Anne is already of to a flying start 😁🥰 ... the way the academy has changed slightly and instead of having 2 students and 2 trainers we now have 1 to 1 trainer and student so it's a really great course to get onto to give you the best start in becoming a dog groomer ... we will also be adding more courses in the future relating to dog care in general more geared towards dog ownership which I'm already working on so keep checking back for updates ❤️❤️❤️

❤Stacey is starting her week 4 tomorrow and has honestly been an absolute pleasure to train .. she's been great with with the dogs and since week 2 completing the grooms on her own which means last week was all about working on times and more detailed work arouns the heads .. will just be letting her get on with it again this last week and practice some more ....proper little groomy girl .. absolute ⭐❤❤❤

Sorry for the lack of updates .. we have our wee student Stacey going through the course just now and into her second week .. already showing a real talent for grooming and doing great ❤❤❤

Our next course is 4th April .. we will only be taking 1 student on again for this as we are working on setting up our new venture down in our Restalrig Rd salon (see link below) too so want to make sure we have enough time to focus properly on everything .. this space will go quickly so if your interested please get in touch to arrange and Intro Day ASAP

Just a wee academy update .. we have been busy relocating one of our salons and preparing to open our DIY DOG WASH FACILITIES .. we are runnng our next academy on 28th Feb but this is now full .. we will be posting our next dates soon .. mid April will be out next one but date to be confirmed.

We have 2 spaces in the academy on the 4 week block starting Monday 28th February ... course runs 10am to 5pm Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday .. you must come for an induction day before 13th Feb ❤❤❤

❤So last day of our latest academy block yesterday 😭... big well done to Emily and Stevie for completing it ... it was great few weeks again it was hard work, intense and busy but they both came on so well and by the end where looking like proper little groomers 😍... the dogs where all ⭐stars⭐ as usual and it's so nice to see how all our students have loved getting to spend time with them ... who knew we had such a talented bunch of doggy models on our client list 🥰 we where so busy chatting at the end we forgot to get pics of them with their achievement certificates so will hopefully be able to get them back in to sort that out soon❤❤❤

❤Last day of our 2nd course today and so amazed and proud of our new groomers .. the standard of grooms has again been amazing and the love of the dogs has shone through🥰 .. our doggy models have all been excellent as usual and I can't thank our clients enough for trusting us with them throughout these courses .... it's been a pleasure for Maisie and I to teach Kate and Ewa ... its just flown in again ❤❤❤

❤Well after 4 weeks we have our first 2 graduates of the ⭐STAR DOGS GROOMING ACADEMY⭐ SO proud of both girls .. they have worked so hard and watching them progress from not even knowing how to hold a pair of clippers to quickly worrying about their lines and paw work has been brilliant 😁😁😁... It's been such great fun and an absolute pleasure to share this journey with them🥰.. We are all looking forward to watching and supporting them both going forward following their dreams of becoming established dog groomers in their own rights and caring for dogs the ⭐STAR DOGS⭐ way .. Their commitment to learning and understanding just how important the managing of the dogs is as important as the groom itself has shone through with their obvious love for the most amazing animals on Earth 🌎 our best pals THE DOG 🐕🥰🥰🥰
