Levi’s hoomum contacted me a few weeks ago as she was concerned that Levi had a sore back and was a bit uncomfortable. 🐾
She sent me the video below, of her touching Levi’s back very gently, resulting in a lot of skin twitching. She also advised that Levi was rolling on his back and ‘wriggling’ about a lot, as if he was trying to scratch himself, and rubbing his side along the furniture. All of which can be signs of Myofascial pain. 🐶
Levi came to see me for 3 massage sessions over a 4 week period and is now feeling much more comfortable in his own skin.
I’m not only trained in Swedish, sport and deep tissue massage techniques, but also in direct and indirect Myofascial release.🙂
Does your dog’s skin twitch when you go to pet them? Or maybe they like to rub their side along the sofa? Or perhaps they have an ‘itchy/tickly spot’ that causes their hind leg to involuntarily move like they’re trying to scratch themselves? 🤔
If the answer to any of the above is ‘yes’, your dog could actually be in discomfort and may benefit from a Clinical Canine Massage. 🐾
