Scooby spent 12 happy years with his forever family after being rehomed in 2009.

His owner, Rhona, remembers him fondly: ‘We have just passed the 3rd anniversary of when we had to say goodbye to our much-loved Scooby. We rescued him from EDCH in January 2009 and he was the best dog!

We moved to Italy in 2016 and here’s a photo of him in his golden years, hogging the sofa as usual.’

What a year it’s been! In 2024, we’ve faced record-breaking numbers of requests for support and worked tirelessly to be there for the people and pets who needed us most.

Thank you to our amazing food bank partners and volunteers for an incredible year! Together, we've worked to keep pets in loving homes by ensuring dogs and cats in need have full bellies and happy hearts. 🐾

Our dedicated volunteers have gone above and beyond, covering nearly 4,000 miles to distribute vital pet meals. Your support has made this journey possible, and we’re so proud of what we’ve achieved together.

Little Tilly came to us in 2017, she was 8 years old and had been found wandering lost and alone. That wasn’t the end of her battles though and poor Tilly had many trips to the Dick Vet for the removal of a cancerous lump and many of her teeth.

But before too long, she was able to go home to Mary and her family, who had fallen in love with her at first sight!

Mary fondly remembers the many happy years they spent together: ‘After the death of my husband she was a great companion and when I moved to Haddington she settled in well. Sadly, her health deteriorated and a year ago in September she was too poorly to continue and I had to say goodbye after 6 fun filled years, I’ll never get forget her she filled my life with very special love as only a dear pet can.’
