Paws for Thought Dog Training Edinburgh Promoting positive dog training in Edinburgh & Midlothian since 2004! I set up Paws For Thought in 2004 to promote positive and modern training techniques.

I educate owners and teach them the skills to communicate and understand their dogs in a relaxed and enjoyable environment. Dogs are brilliant at picking up patterns and remembering what was rewarding for them. I will help you to identify the best rewards for your dog so you will have plenty of ways to influence their behaviour. I also specialise in rescue dogs and work with their owners to teach

them how to safely handle and train their new dog. These dogs are often in need of a little extra time and attention to give them a chance to shine and show their real personality.

🎉 Exciting Announcement! 🎉

I’m delighted to share that Paws For Thought is now partnering with Leith Vets — a trusted, independent veterinary practice here in Edinburgh. I’m really pleased to be working alongside a team known for their compassionate care and community-focused approach. 💛

And with that… we’re launching Wednesday evening Puppy Classes at Leith Vets! 🐾

Our first start date on 12th November filled up incredibly quickly— thank you! So we’ve added an additional start date on 26th November for those who missed out.

These classes are a lovely way to give your puppy confidence, new skills and gentle early social experiences in a calm, supportive environment.
