He is an absolutely stunning boy, and we love to see him in practice. He is always very well behaved an a firm favourite with the team.

In the meantime, meet Bruno! Bruno was in to see us last month for his annual health check and vaccinations as part of his Healthy Pet Club membership.
He is a gorgeous wee guy, and luckily is fighting fit so he can keep up with his brother Rupert. Whilst Rupert and Bruno are chalk and cheese when it comes to their views on the vets (Rupert being our biggest fan, and Bruno tolerating his visits!) we love to see them both ❤️
Next to introduce is lovely Joanna!
Joanna has been a Veterinary Nurse for over 5 years. She joined Batchelor Davidson and Watson in 2019, and has done an amazing job ever since!
During her time at BDW Joanna quickly became an integral member of the team. She has worked her way up to become our Head Nurse!
Her Head Nurse responsibilities include looking after her team, and ensuring gold standard care for all patients. Joanna excels in both of these. Her team of nurses love working with her, and she is a brilliant support to them. She is also a massive advocate for new ideas in practice to make everything easier for patients and staff.
Joanna loves being a Veterinary Nurse as she gets to help make poorly animals better. She also enjoys building a rapport with owners and therefore being able to help them with any concerns they may have. She loves a good wee furry face to SMOOSH! She also enjoys seeing obscure cases and following their stories.
Outside of work Joanna has her own Boxer called Rosie and they enjoy long walks with a tasty treat at the end!
Joanna is a fantastic Veterinary Nurse and Head Nurse. She is a great presence to have in the practice, ensuring that everyone (human and animal!!) are well looked after.
Our next lovely nurse to introduce is Amanda.
Amanda Qualified as a Veterinary Nurse in 2005, from Telford College.
Since qualifying, she has worked in hospitals such as the Hospital for Small Animals at Roslin, she has worked in charity work and also lecturing with student support. Shes got an absolute wealth of experience - a true force to be reckoned with!
Amanda's passions with nursing fall with Client Education, and especially Nutrition. She has such a great knowledge base and really enjoys spreading this knowledge to others. Amanda also loves surgery.
Outside of work Amanda loves photography, the outdoors and most of all her lovely dog Max.
Amanda is such a passionately caring nurse. She's a great calming presence in the practice, and a brilliant support to the team. You are always greeted with a massive smile from Amanda, and if you are a wee furry you will be called a "wee cheese". Amanda's care and attention to every single client makes her an amazing nurse, and we are so lucky to have her here with us.

Next person to introduce in our Nurse Appreciation Month is our Student Nurse Erin!
Erin joined our team last year, and she qualifies next year. She's been such a great addition to our team, and has fitted in so well.
Erin is forever busy, and it is obvious how much she enjoys her work.
When asked what drew Erin to Veterinary Nursing, her response was Patient Care. She loved the idea of being a critical part of the team that makes patients feel better, and getting them on the road to recovery. The photos below show just how much Erin is involved in the recovery stage when inpatients are with us, she is always on hand for plenty cuddles to help make inpatients feel safer and more at ease.
Since starting with us Erin has also found a passion for Consulting and Lab Work. Erin enjoys speaking with owners in consults, and discussing any problems or questions they may have. She also enjoys running tests and getting results to owners to put their minds at ease.
At home, Erin has a wee dog called Skye, who she clearly loves very much.
Erin is such an amazing member of our team, and is so passionate about what she does. It really shows in how much she cares immensely about every single client

The Month of May marks Veterinary Nurse Awareness Month :)!
So for the next few days, we will be introducing you all to our phenomenal nurse team here at BDW.
First up, we have the lovely Jenny!
Jenny graduated as a vet nurse in 2019, and started with BDW in 2022. She is a full time member of our team and is a fantastic asset to the practice.
When asked her favourite thing about being a vet nurse, Jenny replied cats, cats and more cats!! She is a cat whisperer and often builds very strong bonds with our feline clients.
Jenny is also our dispensary nurse, and keeps the pharmacy ticking over, ensuring it is well stocked and everyone gets the medications that they need.
At home, Jenny has her own little cat, Billy-Jean. As you can see, they are the best of friends!
Jenny's commitment to ensuring the best for every animal that comes into the practice is relentless, she truly is a brilliant nurse.
You can see those eyes anywhere!
Donny is such a beautiful boy that we just had to have a photoshoot with him when he was in for his Healthy Pet Club check last week. Those stunning eyes, especially against the green wall make for a cracking photo! He's not only a gorgeous, healthy lad, but he's also super friendly and a complete cuddle monster. Cant wait to see him soon!

He was super friendly, and very well behaved for his appointment. He is a very handsome man, and we cant wait to see him again soon!
Prince Ince!
Gorgeous boy Ince was in to see us recently for his annual vaccine. As you can see, Ince very much makes himself at home at the practice and is a firm favourite with the team.
He hasn't quite figured out just how big he is, but you're never too big to be a lapdog right?!?
He's a big sook, loves all the attention and is such a friendly, happy boy.
Can't wait to see Ince again soon, and have the honour of being his human chair!
Can safely say this is one of the most gorgeous photos we have ever managed to capture at BDW. This stunning wee lass is Cali, and she could not have been a better model for us!!
She is super soft, super sweet and just the most pretty girl!
Lucky for us we get to see her again soon for her next weigh in, we cant wait to see her and see how much she's grown, and the mischief to match!!!

How could you resist a cuddle with this perfect wee lass?
Layla was in with us last month to have her spay operation. She was very brave, and very much enjoyed a day of attention and cuddles from all of our nurses and vets.
She has since recovered very well, and is absolutely the star of every show - even getting stopped in the street for photos!
We love to see Layla, and hope for another squeeze soon :)

Our happy Friday story this week is all about Drico! Drico was at the London International Horse Show for the Crufts ABC Novice Agility Semifinal in December. He qualified for Crufts!! Here is the video of him doing his thing and having such a great time! We cannot wait to see him on our screens and wish him all the luck in the world!!! We are so lucky to have a Celebrity Client!
What a way to arrive in style!!! Super cute baby Cooper, came to see us today for his first ever trip to the vets. He was so relaxed, and got a clean bill of health. He left with a Healthy Pet Club Membership, and all of our hearts! We look forward to seeing him in a few weeks for his vaccinations. <3
