We had the absolute privilege of looking after these wee beauties while their mum & dad got married. Mila & Cassie, what a lovely 24 hours we’ve had with you. After 18 amazing days with Bear, it’s check out time at Barkcation Babo. Our longest stay guest to date will be massively missed. He’s been my shadow for 2.5 weeks and I’m going to be a little bit lost to be honest. We’ve had loads of cuddles, snuggles, beach walks, wood walks and so much fun in the garden. We can’t wait to welcome you back in October Bear 💙.

Hi Everyone,

To ensure we are compliant with the terms of our licence, we require a registration form to be completed for every guest, regardless if they've stayed with us before. As we now have a number of repeat guests, we want to make the booking process as simple as possible so we've adapted our registration form for repeat guests and have uploaded this to our website -

What an amazing first 8 weeks of Barkcation Babo! We’ve been so lucky to welcome these amazing furry friends into our home for their holidays 🐶.

Bear, Cockapoo aged 2

Having a dog in our home is something we’re not only used to but something we absolutely love.

Yesterday was check out day for our sweet guest, Nala, who was just adorably gentle, calm and was a dream to look after. We enjoyed lots of cuddles on the sofa, gentle short walks and playing with monkey. We can’t wait for Nala to return to Barkcation Babo in September ❤️.

Hi Everyone,

We've started to receive quite a few enquiries for 2025, particularly for the school holidays.

The first week of the Easter holidays and the first 2 weeks of the summer holidays are already booked.

July & August are by far the busiest months for us so we recommend early booking.

We’ve been a bit quiet on here as we managed to sneak a cheeky week in the sun ☀️ before a very busy few months 🐶. Still managed to get our four legged friend fix though 🐕 🐈❤️.

That’s departure time for the sweetest girly, Bea who just loves to cuddle 🥰. A short break but we’ve managed to enjoy playing ball in the garden, take a long walk in the field, and had the most amazing snuggles. We’re looking forward to Bea’s longer stay next week 💞

We have a few Barkcation Babo updates for
you -

* We’ve been inspected, in person, by the City of Edinburgh Council and have had our license granted with no objections ✅.

* We have full pet business / public liability insurance.

* Our registration form is now fully digital which we hope will make it easier and quicker to complete ✅.

* Our risk assessment is now available to view on our website ✅.

* We’re fully booked for June & July and have limited availability in August, September & October 🛑

* Our diary is now open for 2025 bookings
