Extrordinair has been transporting animals from Aberdeen, Edinburgh and Glasgow Airport across the globe for many years! In May 2012 we were approved by DEFRA (Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs) to operate the first Animal Reception Centre / Border Inspection Post for small animals in Scotland. Your pets can now travel directly back into Edinburgh Airport with the following approved airlines -

- Lufthansa
- Thomson

- Qatar Airways

Imagine being in need of a new home and a kind lady from Scotland has offered to adopt you... life couldn't be better for sweet Charlie right now πŸ₯Ή He arrived today from Dubai at Glasgow Airport, where we completed the customs clearance and delivered Charlie to his new home. Such a lucky pup, he'll even have a few friends at home to go and explore his new surroundings with πŸΆπŸ΄πŸ¦† This dog has such a kind soul and we're so happy for him to have found his forever home! πŸ₯°

Poor wee Maggie got super confused when she got into her pawrents car, everything was on the wrong side, she was not happy and wanted everything back to normal like back home in Canada πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦

This gorgeous girl is off to her new home in South Africa, getting her first stamp in her passport at only 10 weeks old! ✈ Moving pets to South Africa is complex as they require lots of tests in advance, but luckily we were able to arrange this with our experienced vets as there is no room for error for a puppy! She was collected from the breeder and enjoyed staying in our office before her departure, and has warmed our laps (and our hearts) πŸ₯°

Whether you are a breeder or a prospective dog owner that has fallen in love with a puppy from abroad, we will be able to guide you through the requirements for travelling with young pets.
🐾 Some pets can travel from as young as 8 weeks, but some countries will not allow pets to travel until as late as 10 months old!
🐾 We can help navigate the complex entry requirements for each country and assist with the application and endorsement of health certificates
🐾 Our pet taxi can collect pets directly from the breeder, and we can even arrange vaccinations & tests with our vets a few weeks before travel, so no extra trips to the vet for the breeder!
🐾 We work with agents all over the world, and can help arrange import permits and customs clearance upon arrival.

✨ Pets travelling on commercial health certificates can now be cleared the same day and no longer need to be boarded overnight!
✨ Pets using our pet-taxi services to transport pets all over Scotland can also skip the sleepover

For most pets, this new flight also significantly reduces the transit time in Amsterdam, meaning you'll be reunited with your pets a wee bit quicker than before 🐾

This handsome African Grey Parrot finally arrived in Edinburgh today! This wee guy was VERY talkative after he got settled in, and even started dancing for us at some point! πŸ•Ί We assist with a lot of bird movements in and out of Scotland, but we don't get ones that talk very often - we think that makes him extra special! We hope he settles in well and we hope he doesn't lose his South African accent! πŸ‡ΏπŸ‡¦

Okay, we're obsessed 😍 Tinker arrived yesterday from San Francisco with the help of our friends at Continental Pet Relocation and we could not get enough of her! She has such a funny personality and just loved loved loved cuddles 🫢 Did we sneak her into our office after she had been cleared? Yes. Absolutely! As her owner's flight wasn't coming in until few hours after Tinker landed, she became our emotional support cat for the day, which I'm sure she didn't mind! 🐈

Hello, 2025! πŸŽ‰These two cuties were amongst the first of the year to be sent from Scotland to their new homes abroad. Oreo the Egyptian Mau and Luna the Boxer travelled from Edinburgh to Chicago with a sleepover in Heathrow at our friends' from Animal Aircare along the way. They shared these lovely photos with us and we just had to share them with the rest of the world as well! They have been reunited with their family now and are doing well πŸ₯°

We are very excited to see Emirates return, and we've already got a few furry friends scheduled to fly in and out of Edinburgh. With over 130 destinations, Emirates is not only a great option for pets flying to or from Dubai but for the rest of the world as well! 🐾

Sweet Stella flew to Miami last week ✈ EDI-FRA-LAX 🐾 We collected her bright and early in the morning as her pawrents were due to fly out a few hours earlier, so we spent plenty of time with her in the morning to keep her entertained before her own flight! She had a good nap, a few pre-flight walkies and even played with a toy which was nearly the same size as her before it was time to say goodbye and to check her in for her flight! She made it to the States safely and is doing well, all back to her normal and happy self and is enjoying exploring all the new smells β˜€
