Extrordinair has been transporting animals from Aberdeen, Edinburgh and Glasgow Airport across the globe for many years! In May 2012 we were approved by DEFRA (Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs) to operate the first Animal Reception Centre / Border Inspection Post for small animals in Scotland. Your pets can now travel directly back into Edinburgh Airport with the following approved airlines -
- Air Canada
- KLM
- Lufthansa
- Thomson
- United
- Qatar Airways

Handsome Mango 🥭 arrived from Miami recently, isn't he gorgeous?! He is such a sweet boy and we were lucky enough to spend an extra day with before he was collected by his family. Thank you Air Animal Pet Movers since 1977 for the export! 🐾

Welcome to Scotland, Cilem! 🥰🐾 This gorgeous girl arrived from JFK with the help of our friends at Airpets International. She stayed here overnight until her owner was ready to collect the next day but we weren't complaining at all (if it was up to us, she would have stayed here forever).

This girl was a little mischievous and we're convinced she is a dog in a cat body 🙈. She re-enacted several scenes out of Prison Break; tried to dig her way out through the litter box, and was carefully watching anyone that would open the door to see if she could quickly jump through the opening. We grew very attached to her in the short time she was here but we wish her and her owner all the best in Scotland!

Priscilla here arrived exactly one year ago today from Qatar in search of her new forever home, and it has been amazing to see her growth in just a year and we caught up with her owner to hear more about her adjustment to life in Scotland. 🌿

She was very nervous and very shy upon her arrival in Edinburgh, but she has grown from an extremely anxious pup to the queen of her household. She has managed to chew through and destroy a very long list of things, and always seems to be surrounded by a sea of white foam. She talks, a lot, and sometimes even sings. 🐾 Her one and ONLY time responding to recall she came running at her owner at 40 miles an hour, straight into his legs, resulting in her dad face down in the mud... oops! 🫣 She takes off at warp speed chasing birds and squirrels, leaving her owner to watch an ever decreasing gold streak disappearing into the horizon, but she always, always comes back... ❤️

"You have become a confident and happy girl, and we're now offered your bottom to rub on a regular basis. You also like the occasional cuddle. I hope you know that we love you to bits, and this is most definitely your permanent home. We're completely hooked."

It's truly heart-warming to hear how well she is doing and we hope we get to continue hearing about Priscilla and her amazing journey so far! 😍

This cutie, Tattu, arrived last week from Kilimanjaro 🇹🇿, after a rough start to life she was rescued by her owner, whilst out in Tanzania, after a long wait, she is now home, enjoying her new lift in Scotland with her two new siblings 🥰. We wish you all the best in your new home 🏠

The BEST feeling in the world has to be reuniting with your pet or owner after a long time apart, right?! 😻 At least that is what the gorgeous Stella must have been thinking when she spotted her dad again! She travelled from New York to Edinburgh today with the help of Pet Express Animal Transport. Poor Stella was feeling a bit nervous when she first arrived but that all turned into massive excitement when she spotted her owner again. We wish her the best of luck in Scotland 🐾🥰

Welcome to Edinburgh, Red! This handsome guy flew all the way from Australia with the help of AeroPets Animal Transport 🇦🇺 He was absolutely adorable and very clever, and would happily show us all the tricks he knew in exchange for treats. We wish we could have kept him here for a bit longer, he was just too cute! We hope he settles in well but I'm sure that home is wherever the pawrents are 🥰

Apollo departed with us early last week and was headed back home to Atlanta 🇺🇸 after spending the last few years in Scotland. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿
Apollo gained a few grey hairs from the last time we saw him back in 2019 when he first arrived into Scotland but still has just as much energy when greeting everyone.

This gorgeous boy arrived at our Border Control Post earlier this week all the way from Auckland, New Zealand 🇳🇿 He wasn't quite sure what was going on but he must have been relieved to be on solid ground again after the long journey! Wolfy was very eager to get out of his crate and our cattery and you can almost see him thinking "Me? An escape artist? Never!" with his adorable innocent wee face! We hope he settles in well 🥰

Look at this pretty girl who travelled all the way from Texas 🇺🇸 last Friday! Her name is Freedom and she was found as a stray many years ago (hence the name), if only she could have imagined the amazing family she ended up with, even taking her with them when moving abroad 🥹

This cutie named Billy Bonez arrived at our Border Control Post earlier this week after a very long journey from Charlotte, NC 🇺🇸 We took him out for a nice long walk before sneaking him into the office to become our office pup for the day.

We honestly loved having him here, and we hope Mr Floofy Bonez / Mr Silly Bonez (yes that's what we called him all day long!) settles in well 🥰 Thank you Feathers and Fur Express for the export, it's been a journey but he is finally here!

Leo got some tasty refreshments, lot of attention and he had another exciting walk outside. It is such a pleasure to see Leo being so active and chuffed every single time we visit him.
