A winter wonderland in Oban. In 1897 local banker John Stuart McCaig wanted to provide work for local stonemasons. Largely to stop them leaving the town to work elsewhere, leaving Oban with a severe lack of local trade at a time where everywhere else in Scotland was coming life. The views across the Atlantic, out to Kererra then eventually the Isle of Mull, are astonishing. On a clear day you can sit down, relax and watch the ferries coming in and going out. A lifeline to the Western Isles. There are stunning gardens inside the tower which are well maintained all year round. A peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of town life in Oban. Golf View

Located on the seafront of Nairn, near Inverness, Golf View overlooks the Moray Firth and offers guests sea-facing bedrooms, and an indulgent array of local seafood in the AA Rosette awarded Hickory restaurant. The Spa & Leisure Club are available for guests to use during their stay.Facilities include a gym, swimming pool, and outdoor hot tub to relax and unwind in.

Isle of Mull Hotel & Spa, Craignure

Red deer in the gardens, rugged coastal views. The wild outside contrasts with the welcoming calm inside the Isle of Mull Hotel & Spa.
