This stunning wee loch is beautifully surrounded by woodland which keep it out of sight, giving you the feeling of open wilderness, whilst maintaining a safe distance to the road.

A winter wonderland in Oban.
In 1897 local banker John Stuart McCaig wanted to provide work for local stonemasons. Largely to stop them leaving the town to work elsewhere, leaving Oban with a severe lack of local trade at a time where everywhere else in Scotland was coming life.
