Proposed Firework Control Zone - Residents of Edinburgh have requested a Firework Control Zone to be put in place for the whole of the City of Edinburgh boundary area. This means that, if put in place, certain fireworks will no longer be permitted to be set off within this boundary area.

I helped at this before - it’s a fantastic day. Sadly, we’re on holiday for this time round. Can anyone help?

VOLUNTEERS URGENTLY NEEDED

Just 4 weeks out and sadly this years ‘Tea in the Park’, on Sat 31 Aug, is at risk of being cancelled.

We have had very few folk offer to help out on the day, and volunteers numbers are so low that we may have to cancel. We will make a call on this at the end of the week. If we don’t have volunteers confirmed it is too risky to put all the time and energy needed into the planning to then cancel at a later date.

If you can give up some time to help please let us know ASAP. if you are coming as a family / with friends, maybe you could split a role between you?

We’re really hopefully we can still go ahead and have a great community day celebrating our park.
