Reminder 🚨

Please do not bring your dog to their appointment if they have (or you think they might have) fleas.

I’ve just lost the weekend due to fleas 🐜 This is not only frustrating for me due to loss of income and diary issues, but it’s also upsetting for customers who’ve had their appointments rescheduled at short notice.

There are strict procedures to be followed if a dog has been in with fleas or a communicable illness such as a tummy bug, with a wider impact than just your own appointment so please if you’re unlucky enough to find yourself in this situation, just pop me a message to reschedule.

I recently spent an excellent weekend trying to learn a bit more about chronic pain. I'm sure you know it's something I'm particularly interested in, as I'm always banging on about it (well, that and feet)🤣
Sadly so many of our dogs (and cats) suffer from chronic pain, and many of the dogs who come to see me because they haven't been coping well with grooming elsewhere have underlying pain issues.
Even though I'm a small cog in your dog's care wheel, I'm keen to do everything I can to make sure I'm best equipped to listen to what your dog is saying, and I'm already looking forward to the 2025 symposium 😀

Barklay Park Dog Day Care Centre are very pleased to be looking for a morning Dog Bus Driver to join our team.

The right person will be a great team player, highly motivated and enthusiastic. You will be happy with all breeds and sizes of dogs and confident driving in and around Edinburgh and the surrounding areas.

A strong stomach and a great sense of humour is vital for this role.

Applicants must hold a full clean driving licence, have experience of driving and parking vans and be happy and confident driving throughout Edinburgh and surrounding areas. For insurance purposes you will need to be over 25 years of age

Be comfortable transporting precious cargo courteously whilst representing the business. Politely dealing with customers and happy to follow instructions. Happy to use our simple system to follow customer instructions.

Ideally the applicant will be available for an immediate start
The vacancy is 7.30am - 10.30am week days with an opportunity for overtime readily available
