Gorgeous Cleo is at her foster home in Duffus, Scotland. She adjusted now to the cool weather, nothing like the 40c we have in Cyprus in the summer or the 20c now. The area there is a beautiful and quiet place where Cleo relaxes in the country which she loves.
The gorgeous girl whos one of Simonas pups, is now close to 2 years old. Shes a quiet and calm doggy like her mom. She loves people and especially children as she was raised with them. Shes ok with any dog and cats, she lives with 2 other dogs and a cat at her foster home. Like Simona, Cleo is large size and you can see her in the last photo where shes lying in her bed with a wire pointer. She is perfect on lead trained and has a good recall. Of course shes toilet trained. She will make a loving companion for someone and we hope this will be soon.
For anyone whos interest in adopting her, you will have to message us at the rescues page. Shes an adorable girl and shes worth it. As always adoption fee and homecheck will apply.

The diary has been dusted off and ready to start booking everyone in again. I am setting aside this Monday to hopefully get in touch with everyone and pin down dates.

If you would like an appointment send me a message and i will get back to you Monday.

Please include the following info in your message

🛁 - if they are overdue let me know as they will need a longer appointment than usual.

📖 - Let me know how often you would like rebooked for.

⌚️ - if you need or prefer a particular day/time please state in the message.

I will be working Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday 9.30am - 2.30pm

Also due to the crazy price increases going on in the world I’ve had no option but to restructure the price list to include an increase.

All appointments will be at my new address in Mosstowie I will give details/directions at time of booking.

This is baby Hunter 6 months old already!
Can’t believe my maternity leave is almost over it has felt so quick but have really enjoyed settling this little dude into our family.
Looking forward to welcoming all my customers back and into my new fan dangle groom room, not quite finished yet but it will be by August 🙈🤞🏻

Il start taking appointments around end of July, will keep you posted.

This is really sad the dog didn’t survive, something to think about if your out off lead near frozen over ponds etc.

The dangers of ice were very apparent today at a loch near Lochmaben.

Whilst out on a walk with their family pet the owners dog has fallen through the ice.

Ice can vary dramatically in thickness dependant on a number of factors.

Their dog went through the ice and spent a considerable time in the water until rescued by the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service.

With the families permission this message has been put out to highlight the dangers of frozen water as others might not be aware.

There is no update as yet on the dogs condition.

🦠 Covid 19 Update 🦠

🐾 Reopening Thurs 7th May 🐾

As the weeks go by I am getting increasingly concerned for my really hairy, elderly customers 🐶 Some dogs have wool coats and don’t moult so will really be struggling with the recent glorious weather and then there’s the matting that occurs when they can’t be groomed regular, double coated breeds like our golden retrievers, collies, german shepherds all need assistance to remove dead undercoat which then allows their skin to breathe and for them to adequately regulate their own body temperature in the hot weather. Then there’s the cockapoos who grow as much hair from their ear canals as they do on their body and need their ears plucked to prevent infection.

I am reopening with strict social distancing 🚷, cleaning 🧹🧴and Ppe protocol in place 🥽🧤
for dogs that NEED grooming to maintain their welfare.
Driving to an appointment needs to be judged by the client as to how necessary it is, I would love to offer a collection service but when you work alone it’s just not possible.
I will work my way through the list of who has missed an appointment to reschedule and be in touch with upcoming appointments to clarify if they still stand.

I’m sure it goes without saying but just to be clear I will not accept dogs from households that have symptoms of covid 19 although dogs don’t catch the virus it can live on their fur like a surface.

Please get in touch for an 📓appointment and if you feel your dogs groom is urgent let me know, or if I miss anyone out (diary could get messy 🙈🤪)

The procedure for dropping off, collecting and payment will be explained by message when arranging appointments.

If anyone needs any advice about maintaining your dogs coat at home from what brushes or shampoo to use please get in touch I would be happy to help in any way I can.

Kennel Cough.

We would like people to be aware that we have been seeing a high number of cases of kennel cough this week .
Kennel cough is an umbrella term given to a number of different viruses and bacteria that cause an infectious cough in dogs. They attack the lining of a dog's respiratory tract causing inflammation resulting in irritation and a dry cough. In the majority of cases this is self limiting and is much like us having a cold.
It is highly contagious however. Dogs can be infected via airborne spread, direct contact with infected dogs or indirect contact with things infected dogs have slobbered on eg toys and bowls. An infected dog tends to be contagious for 2 weeks and may still cough in this time or may not.
If your dog has kennel cough it is not an emergency. Like the human cold it very rarely needs treatment. In majority of cases they will recover uneventfully with TLC and wetting dry food so as to limit discomfort on the throat.
There is no need to seek veterinary attention unless this cough is ongoing for over a week or if your dog is off food or listless.
If your dog is infected it would be good idea to isolate them from other dogs as much as possible for 2 weeks-eg avoiding groomers, vets, and popular walking areas.

There is a kennel cough vaccine available, It doesn't provide a 100% protection but will reduce the severity and duration of signs should your dog get infected. We'd recommend the vaccine for dogs most at risk ie those mixing with a lot of dogs for example attending classes, dog walkers, groomers etc

My little cabbage patch kid is growing so fast the past 5months have gone in a flash but I am missing my doggy pals so I’m coming back to work.

I am now taking appointments for Tuesdays and Wednesdays for November onwards ✍️📖
