A massive thank you to all of the dogs who have been a Fit Pets friend! Unfortunately due to personal circumstances I have had to close my business effective 18th Oct 2023. I will miss my doggy friends lots and hate to say goodbye, but it has been an amazing year with each of them by my side!

A massive thanks to Amber, Heidi, Maui, Teddy, Indie, Honey, Loki, Ted, Ollie, Tango, and every dog who has been a companion during pet sits and of course their loving owners! I couldnt have done it without you 🥰

As well as this you MUST have them insured and on a lead at ALL times in public

Notice to all customers

Due to changing circumstances, some services have had to be amended. As a result, from 1st June 2023 overnight pet sitting will no longer be available. Any pending pet sitting booked before that time will be honoured.

Secondly, certain prices have changed, again accurate from 1st June 2023. Please see the Services section for more information.

And finally, please check out the deals in the Services section. Booking more than one dog walk a week? 10% will be knocked off both walks! Need a pet check or two while you're out? Deals are available there, too!

Please be careful when walking your dogs around the canal and other fishing spots. Approximately eight feet of old fishing line was just found at the end of an hour long walk wrapped around a dog. No harm came to the dog and there were no injuries, but this was still a puzzling and potentially scary event.

To those who do fish locally or anywhere, please make sure your lines, hooks, and bait are all accounted for when you leave. Even if you are fishing in a no dogs zone, wildlife can still get caught up in these lines and will injure themselves or even die trying to get out of them. Other animals may try to eat fishing lines and cause injury to their insides. Please be responsible to prevent this happening.

To everyone else, if you see any lines like this please pick it up and dispose of it properly, cutting it into short pieces if possible. Look after our pets and wildlife 🐕🐈🦊🐇🐦🐾💞

This is a daily reminder to be extremely careful when choosing to walk your dogs this weekend.

Slippery ground can be dangerous for two or four legs (and any number in between). If your dog pulls, control can be lost immediately, potentially injuring you and putting your dogs life in danger. Remember: it's hard for cars to brake suddenly in icy conditions.

And something that isn't know anywhere near well enough is the fact that grit/salt can tear through a dog's paw pads as quickly and effectively as glass shards. Avoid a trip to your vet or A&E. Sacrifice a walk, stay at home and cuddle up together with a blanket and hot drink ☕
