9 yr old Cockapoo Minnie Blundell 🩷
Minnie has a lovely coat to groom , however it takes 1 hour just to prep before you even start clipping , Cockapoo’s have 2 washes and conditioner , then the drying begins . All curls are brushed through while drying using a slicker brush which helps remove loose fur and the odd tangle and especially pads and toes throughly need to be brushed out , nails trimmed , pads and sanitary area trimmed next before moving on to body , tail and head , this can take a further hour to hour and a half on larger thicker coated dogs so 2-2 1/2 hours is average for a dog of this type with us 😊
Minnie has been clipped 3/8” body , 1/2” legs 🐾

JUST A REMINDER, TO ALL DOG OWNERS.

⚠️🚙⚠️ Despite the warnings, hundreds of dogs in the UK die every year after being left in a hot car. Someone you know may need to read this very important message. ⚠️🚙⚠️

SIX MINUTES is all it takes for a dog to overheat in a hot car.

Your dog could suffer serious injury or die in a matter of minutes if left alone in a car.

• The temperature inside a closed vehicle left in the sun can double within 12 minutes.

• At least 75% of the temperature increase in a closed vehicle occurs within 5 minutes of closing the vehicle, and at least 89% of the temperature increase occurs within 15 minutes of closing the vehicle.

• Temperatures exceeding 104˚ F can lead to death or serious injury for the occupants.

• Temperatures in a closed vehicle sitting in the hot sun can reach 160˚F and above. An animal will suffer immeasurably and may die before the temperature reaches 150˚F.

• Even when parked in the shade, the vehicle temperatures can exceed 104˚C.

• Leaving windows down more than 2 inches on an unattended vehicle will not prevent a car from reaching extreme temperatures.

• Even if the animal is revived, they can die due to severe internal organ damage.

Your dog trusts you to have their best interest at heart ALWAYS.
Please don’t risk their safety.

Baily has visited us every week for 14 years , he is like one of our own and used to spend a lot of time with us when we had the unit 😊
He’s a little older now and his hair is a little thinner but we love this little guy ❤️🐾

Little Minnie we rescued about 8 years ago she went on to live with our lovely client Sheron who also owns 12 year old Bentley
Both these two are in control of their grooms , Bentley is epileptic so it’s important to only do what they can cope with even if the groom isn’t perfect , the dogs welfare must always come first x

13 and a half year old labradoodle Scooby Po***ck 🩵
Scooby’s dad likes to keep his coat short so this weeks trim is going to be good timing if we finally get some sun next week 😊
With age a full groom can be tiring , even a little uncomfortable if they have achy joints , so we only do what the older dogs can physically cope with , our regulars always let us know when they’ve had enough ❤️

Another first time visitor today was welsh terrier Halie
Halie’s mum usually stays with her at groomers but was brave enough to leave her today and wanted to try a more rounded face rather than the usual terrier head
Her body was clipped on a 7f and legs scissored and blended
Beautiful little girl 🩷🐾

First time visitor today was Freddie the Bichon
Freddie had a few tangles he wasn’t happy having removed so he had a flat top this time to save him any stress and build his trust which will be better for him 😊
