Today we've seen the end our week 2 summer holiday activities with day 2 of our adult 2 day course
We rammed as much into the 2 days as we could.
Yesterday they learned about what to look for in a dressage test and classical dressage. They had a dressage demo from our wonderful Helen on Bazil and also got a chance to practice their Dressage tests. They also had a session on how to turn a horse out for a Dressage competition, including plaiting.
Today they put the plaiting practice into action and included things like quarter marks and applying hoof oil etc ready for a best turned out competition and they then did their Dressage test where they were judged by Hayley, each then getting a rosette for their dressage and turnout placings.
A big well done and thank you to April, Jazz and Dan for running the course, to Helen for her demo and Hayley for her judging and an even bigger thank you to all those who took part on the 2 days, we hope you've enjoyed it as much as we have.
Here is a pic of them all looking lovely during their turn out session
I think the phrase you could use to describe today's adult Hack Morning was "wonderful"
Take a look and see what you think.....
What do you think to our changes this week?
A huge thank you to everyone who joined our coffee morning last week, or donated cakes or money towards it. We had a great turnout and we feel incredibly proud to say we raised ยฃ336
We will be placing an order tomorrow from our mini tack shop order book
If you'd like to add anything to this order please email us on [email protected] so we can get it sorted. Thank you!
Last night our Grown Ups Club, with the help of Libby and Lady Bea and some coloured bandages learned sequence of footfalls.
Can you spot the order of the legs too? The numbers at the bottom help guide you to which leg goes in which order (the numbers are top line is front legs and bottom line back legs - we've also realised we've done the canter legs on the other rein - apologies!!!!)
This is it, our 5th and final day!
Pony club camp 2023 show day!!!!!!
For those wanting to know what handy pony is, this is the course the children will be doing with their ponies today
From all the staff and instructors here at Old Tiger Stables at North Angle Farm we'd like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and. Happy New Year
Thank you to you all for your continued support and well wishes over the last few days.

Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeheeeeeee
The little boys getting to explore the turn out paddock for the first time today ๐ฅฐ
One of the reasons we need to move from OTS to our new site at North Angle Farm is purely and simply down to space. We have outgrown out current site, we struggle with storage, we struggle to fit our team of horses and ponies tack that's in use into the tack room let alone find space for any spare tack, boots, numnahs, rugs, grooming kits and anything other type of equipment that we might need for them all
Lorraines very first thoughts when she looked at North Angle Farm was space. Space to create everything we need and lack at OTS.
When thinking about the layout of the new yard we have tried so hard to utilise all the space, to think about security, accessibility for staff and customers, storage and flow.
We didn't realise you could get excited over a few brick walls, this isn't like building a house, this is more than that. This is about building something that so many people can use and enjoy. Our tack room is going to be one of those spaces that we cant wait to show you once we open
For now this is it for updates on our tack room. Next time you'll see it is once it's fully loaded and ready to open. The guys at DB Groundworks Ltd have done an amazing job of creating exactly what we have asked for and we can't wait to turn those brick walls into one of the best tack rooms ever!!!
Ok.... So we told you there would be exciting updates coming your way, well here's the next oneโบ๏ธ
Yep, yes you are right, that's a lovely concrete pad ๐
But it's not just any concrete pad, it's a concrete pad for..........????
Who thinks they can guess that the new concrete pad is for?
*If you already know then please don't spoil the surprise for others* we're looking forward to hearing all your ideas ๐ฅณ
