Are you a first time pet owner in 2020? If so, I’m working with a pet insurer on a national media campaign and we’d love to share your story of pet ownership under lockdown and talk about the reasons why you bought your pet this year.

In particular, we are interested in speaking to anyone who has:

* Made significant lifestyle changes in order to become a pet owner e.g. relocating/moving house
* Changed jobs or negotiated with an employer to work from home permanently to be with their pet
* Bought a pet to avoid loneliness and isolation
* Bought a “designer breed” e.g. cross-breeds after seeing them on social media
* Experienced severe pet behavioural issues as a result of the lockdown

We’d also be keen to hear from anyone who wanted to get a pet but now can’t afford to purchase one after breed prices increased during the lockdown.

Please be aware that any case study would be required to be named, photographed and possibly speak with media (this can be discussed further).

If this sounds like you, please comment below or contact [email protected] ASAP to find out what’s involved!

We are concerned there may be an increase in unregulated backyard fireworks this year as official displays are limited by Covid-19 restrictions

With the sun shining and a set to hit the UK this week, it’s important to be mindful when exercising your dog and make sure they stay cool in the warm weather. ☀️🐶🐾 Check out our blog for more information about how to protect your dog from heatstroke this summer ➡️ https://bit.ly/2NlYyXN ☀️⛅️

Copied from my friends page,

To all my friends with doggy fur babies!
Please be careful if your thinking of going for a walk around Sandringham. I took my boys on Saturday and now we believe that Rocco has caught Seasonal canine Illness. This is something that usually affects dogs during the autumn but not unheard of earlier on and if left for too long can be fatal. Rocco will be OK as he's begun treatment nice and early.

Just wanted to give people a heads up so no one else has to go through the horrible week my family has been through
Stay safe everyone ❤

Thanks for the tip to circumvent Facebook... Works!! I have a whole new profile. I see posts from people I didn't see anymore. Facebook's new algorithm picks the same people - around 25-who will see your posts. Hold your finger anywhere in this post and click " copy ". Go to your page where it says " what's on your mind". Tap your finger anywhere in the empty field. Click paste. This is going to circumvent the system.
Hello new and old friends!
Drop a single hello, thanks!

Some great advice (taken from another site)

Remember your puppies need between 18 and 20 hours of sleep everyday. So stop 🛑 stroking and fussing your little pup and give them some alone time. Your puppies days should be a strong routine.
Awake up , go outside
After going to the toilet it breakfast time. ( feed your pup in the crate)
Once eaten come out and spend time with owner. (but keep a eye on them)
Back outside to toilet. (Time in crate)
Time away form owner.
Lunchtime socialisation walk.
Mealtime in the crate.
Toilet time.
Playing time.
Rest time in crate
And it goes on structure and routines is your friend.
