Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, but let’s not forget about keeping our pets safe while we celebrate! 🐾💘 Here are some tips to keep your furry friends safe and happy:

Avoid toxic treats: Chocolate and certain flowers (like lilies) can be dangerous to pets. Keep them out of reach! 🍫🌹

Alcohol can cause major problems for pets, even in very small quantities.

Secure your gifts: Keep those ribbons, string, and wrapping paper away from curious paws—they can be a choking hazard or even cause intestinal blockages! 🎁

Watch out for candles: Keep candles and other open flames away from pets to avoid accidents. 🕯️

Dental chews & toys: These help reduce tartar and keep your pet’s mouth clean and fresh. 🦴

The Big Garden Birdwatch is taking place between the 24-26th January and the RSPB wants everyone to get involved... want to join in?

All you need is an free hour and an outdoor space that could be your garden, balcony or local park. Make a note of all the different types of birds you see, and don't forget to report back through the RSPB website.

❄️🐹 Winter care for your small furries is a MUST! 🐾🌨️

As temperatures drop, our small pets need a little extra TLC to stay warm, cozy, and healthy. Here are some tips to help them thrive during the colder months:

🛏️ Cozy Homes – Make sure their cage or habitat is in a warm, draft-free spot. Add
extra bedding (like hay or shredded paper) to help them burrow and stay insulated.

🍏 Nutrition Boost – Keep them well-fed with a high -fiber diet to help maintain energy and warmth. Treats like fresh veggies or a few extra pellets can be a nice winter pick-me-up!!
Also make sure their water bottles don't freeze!!

💨 Avoid Drafts and shelter them from rain and snow ☔❄️ - Keep outdoor enclosures waterproof.

🚶‍♀️ Make time for indoor play so they stay active and healthy, even in winter!

💖 Watch for illness and weakened immunity in the cold weather.
