We have experienced a few glitches with our website over the past couple of days. If you have reserved but not heard from us please do re-register. The girls are waiting patiently for their retirement homes.

We have lots of hens available for the whole of NOVEMBER, especially the 2nd for some reason!

Please, can you squeeze a few ladies into your heart …and your garden? They are in desperate need of homes and NO HEN will be left behind!
If you cannot, then please share this post everywhere you can 🙏 so we can get these girls registered and into their forever homes.
Registration can be done via the website.

⭐️ Our next opening date, 23rd November, will be a year (plus 5 days) since we opened Soham collection point! ⭐️

🐔 In that time we have rehomed 333 beautiful hens and 1 very handsome cockerel 🐔

❤️ That is all thanks to you lovely rehomers (and the crazy bunch of volunteers from admin to farm team to drivers at FSFH) ❤️

🐓 We haven't been open for a while due to personal commitments or rehome logistics, our last rehome we were gutted as we didn't get any reservations ☹️🐓

😊 Please help us help the hens (and cockerels) have the lives they deserve 😊

🚨 An auction page has been set up on Facebook for Fresh Start for Hens and Belle & Fleur, raising funds for a new van and a new hen hospital. 🚨
⭐️ If you have anything you would be kind enough to donate please message me to arrange a time to drop it off or keep hold of it and bring it along when you next collect your hens (I’m afraid we don’t currently accept larger items like furniture etc…) ⭐️

THE FERAL BIRDS OF SNETTISHAM

You may have seen stories in the national and local press over the past week about the feral birds 'terrorising' the village of Snettisham, Norfolk. And you may have seen our name linked to these stories.....

Well, it is true. Fresh Start for Hens are working with Snettisham Parish Council and community to catch, treat, rehabilitate, and then eventually rehome some of these birds.

The vast majority of the birds are cockerels, and as you may know, Fresh Start for Hens has a no cull policy, so it is quite the task that we are taking on.

We are looking for:

*People with secure space to hold the cockerels as a bachelor group while they are treated and rehabilitated, so they can be prepared for rehoming.

*Folk who have space to take a cockerel into their flock - the usual rehoming conditions of a photograph of your coop/run and a small rehoming fee will apply
