Breakfast time, providing enrichment with rewarding feeding mats.
Kongs can be a good way to keep your dog occupied, as well as providing mental stimulation, whilst having their dinner or a treat.
Unfortunately the video I mentioned in my previous post below didn't come out.
I did manage to video Ruby walking calmly round some trees with a football behind a fence / physical barrier. After this successful exercise we moved the ball to the same side of the fence as the dog, placing the ball about 20 feet away to start.
This is fantastic progress, 6 weeks ago Ruby would have still tried to get to the ball.

Working with a lovely Labrador who's obsessed with footballs, been doing lots of focus and impulse control, tonight we had them walking around, relaxed lead with football in the distance (about 20 feet away), occasional gentle kick of ball, 6 weeks ago the Labrador would have pulled owner to the ball and destroyed it. Video to follow later. Awesome session and awesome owners.
Marvin doing whistle recall, owner is out of site, Marvin goes off like a rocket to find his owner. We've been building up the distance and distractions.
Whistle recall, short distance. Awesome job from dog Marvin and owner.
He had fun today Catherine.

During classes I often mention that the word can be whatever you choose, it's how we teach it, and how dogs associate the word with the task we are asking them to do.
I decided to teach a trick called peek a boo, but use the word Banana.
I've been spending time teaching Pickles to sit and not get the toy before I say. All taught using positive rewards, building up the time slowly.
