A small but fun scent session this morning.
Well done to these 2 pups who as always SMASHED the work we set them.

Some amazing searches, some amazing chilling out and relaxing whilst the other dogs are working, it all forms part of what makes a great scent dog.

Week 2 of our latest puppy class and it is already going way too quickly!

Such a fantastic session again this morning, and there are some really big wins happening already.

It’s been an amazing few days with lots of 1-2-1’s I’ve been rubbish with the camera, but one super special session was with this boy!

Learning how to do “nothing” is so critical to high energy dogs and those with big emotions.

I couldn’t be prouder of this team! Absolutely smashed it!

Do you know what happens when we stop reinforcing a dog for good behaviour??

We get something known as extinction bursts. SO, if we are training a brilliant behaviour, and we want to keep it, make sure we reinforce it. It doesn't have to be every time, but it is important that we dont go weeks and months without a treat or toy to remind your dog, it's definitely worthwhile performing the behaviour again, as more treats and toys may come.

This can be as simple as sit. It can be as challenging as loose lead walking in a super busy environment.

Whatever behaviour we want to keep, reinforce!
