Little miss dramatic was back in this morning as she’s most definitely been that!! 🤣🤣 Video in comments!
Today Jess decided that there was no other response required other than to scream at the brush… even when it wasn’t touching her. Apologies to the neighbours…. She would have every one believe i was trying to make her un alive but she is in fact absolutely fine and happily bounced back out the door with her mum. 🤦🏻‍♀️🤣

Well this little lad has astounded me today!!
Up until now, Flynn has found the whole grooming process overwhelming and he has struggled with it all.
However, today he was a different dog and nothing… and I mean NOTHING, has fazed him!!
Flynn I am so proud of you sweetheart.

I welcomed this handsome boy to the Enchanted Tail’s family this afternoon and for his first time ever in a groomers he did exceptionally well!
The dryer was where he struggled a bit, so I haven’t pushed him to have his head and ears dried as he was doing so well, I wanted to end on a positive.

Raffi, you are most welcome back here anytime sweet boy! 🐾💙

Chester has been a little darling today…. WOODY has been a little fidget a**e! Woody has blatantly told me to do one with the grooming this morning and flatly refused to even compromise….
So here he is, proud as punch of his wonky haircut with zero f’s given!!

I have some really sad news this morning… Bertie has gone over rainbow bridge.
He was diagnosed with cancer of the kidneys almost two years ago and was given only one year to live. He defied those odds spectacularly and every groom I would say goodbye, to then have him trot back into the salon 8 weeks later…. But not this time.
I am heartbroken and can’t tell you how much I will miss him.
Bertie suffered a stroke yesterday morning and his wonderful owners made the heartbreaking decision to let him run free over rainbow bridge.

Bertie, you will be missed sweetheart, ever so much. 💔🐾🌈

This is Frankie and I have a huge soft spot for this boy.
I very rarely call other groomers out but Frankie’s story is a sad one. This boy has been pushed so hard in grooming that he is now terrified of most of the process. He has a coat that must be groomed so there is no avoiding it and this poor boy has been utterly terrorised, then labelled as aggressive and if that wasn’t bad enough, they even then went as far as to ban him.

This makes me angry!! Frankie is so far from being aggressive, he is a frightened dog and calling him aggressive is hugely insulting.
I’m now picking up the pieces from this and it will be a very slow process for Frankie, one that is completely unnecessary had the previous groomers actually understood what he was “saying” and changed their handling of him accordingly.

So is this the perfect groom?
Absolutely not.
Is Frankie now terrified and shutting down?
Absolutely not
Do I care what he looks like leaving my salon?
Absolutely not.
Do I like him less due to his behaviour?
ABSOLUTELY NOT!!!
I adore this boy!

I am beginning to have his trust now which is the biggest step and we will go as slow as we need to for his sake.

Frankie, you will always be safe with me sweetheart…. Regardless of what you look like. 🐾💙
