🎉 Induction Day at the College Grooming Salon! ✂️🐾

Today we welcomed our brand-new Level 3 Dog Grooming students and what a special day it was!

From course introductions to live grooming demonstrations, the students were immersed in everything they need to kick-start their journey in the industry. A big thank you to the amazing Mandy from The Scissor Boutique who kindly gave up her day to assess scissor techniques and offer expert advice on the best tools to suit each student. 🧡

We were lucky to enjoy our induction in a lovely air-conditioned salon, staying cool while soaking up loads of valuable information! Here's to an exciting year ahead for our new students. 🐶💼

What a wonderful week ! ✂️🐾

It's been an incredibly busy and rewarding week, and we are so proud of all our students! 💫

From Level 2 Adults, Level 2 (16–18), Level 3 Adults, to Level 3 (16–18) , every single one of you has worked so hard, grown in confidence, and developed amazing skills. Each of you has been on your own unique journey, and it’s been a privilege to support you along the way.

It’s especially heartwarming to see so many of you stepping into the grooming industry, whether joining salons or setting up your own businesses. We’re super proud of you all. Please stay in touch, we love hearing about your continued success! 💼🐶

🎓✨ Another coup do days of Goodbyes and Celebrations at the College Grooming Salon! ✨🎓

Yesterday, we said an emotional goodbye to our amazing Level 3 16–18-year-old students. Over the year, they’ve grown so muchdeveloping incredible grooming skills, building confidence, and maturing into talented professionals.

Some are setting up their own grooming businesses, others have already started entering competitions, and many have secured jobs or have exciting interviews lined up. We’re bursting with pride and will truly miss the fun, laughter, and dedication you brought to the salon this year. Keep in touch and good luck with your upcoming grooming adventures! 🍀✂️🐾

We’ve also been celebrating another success—our fantastic group of Level 2 adult learners on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday all took their final theory exams coming out with amazing grades! 🎉👏 You're all progressing brilliantly on your grooming journeys, and we couldn’t be prouder.

It’s been a busy week in the salon with students showcasing their skills and creating lots of fresh summer cuts. ☀️🐶

🌟 End of Term Reflections at the Grooming Parlour 🌟

It’s the final week of term, and what a busy and rewarding one it’s been so far!

On Monday, our amazing Level 3 adult learners had a fantastic day in the salon, grooming to industry standards and showcasing the impressive skills they’ve developed. We couldn’t be prouder of how far they’ve come!

From those first nervous days on Level 2 when holding scissors or clippers felt daunting and nail trimming was a scary task to the confident, skilled groomers you are today, your journey has been nothing short of inspiring. We’ll miss each and every one of you!

☀️🐾 Hot Weather Reminder for Our Pet Parents! 🐶🔥

With these soaring temps, it’s important to keep our furry friends safe! 🥵🐕

Pavement can burn paws, and dogs can quickly overheat—even on short walks. To keep them cool and happy:

✅ Walk early in the morning or later in the evening when it’s cooler
✅ Skip the walk altogether on extra hot days and try some indoor fun like food puzzles or a short training session
✅ Always make sure they have access to fresh water and a shady spot to rest

Your dog’s health comes first! Let’s all do our part to keep them safe this summer. 💛

Just a gentle reminder as we head into the final few weeks — we’re extremely busy, so please try your best to arrive on time for your appointments. ⏰

🛁 When dropping off or collecting your pet, don’t forget to ask about booking your next groom to avoid disappointment!

If you need to cancel or reschedule, we kindly ask for at least 48 hours’ notice so we can offer the slot to someone on our waiting list. All our appointments are currently full, but we’ll post any cancellations or last-minute availability here.

It’s tick season, and those pesky critters are out in full force! 😬 I’ve seen more than a few sneaky hitchhikers lately, so here’s your reminder to check your pups regularly! 🐶✨

🕵️‍♀️ Common hideouts for ticks:
🔍 Behind ears
🔍 Under collars
🔍 Between toes
🔍 Around eyelids
🔍 Under tails & legs
🔍 Along the belly and groin

Ticks can carry diseases like Lyme, so early detection = happy, healthy doggos! 🐕💚

It's that time of year - Tick season! ⚠️
Make sure to check your pup after every woodland walk, meadow stroll or countryside wander. Ticks can cause Lyme disease, therefore its important to identify them and remove them properly.
