Our September pups, some aren't here anymore, but can't believe Arlo, Kobe, and Cooper are one already, and Lulu, Toby, Charlie and Carla are two, they were all about 16 weeks when they came here, Happy birthday for this month puppers, and then there's our Charlie Jack (don't know how that nickname stuck) but he will always have a special place in my heart, the dog that i could never keep in, he could jump 6ft walls and 5ft barriers, he was cheeky but so so beautiful, he has the best home now, but 3 already 🥰😍🥰

When Daycare shuts I am going to focus on my passion which is one 2 one dog training, I loved daycare but it took away my focus and time away from training, and I have done so many courses, and continually updating my knowledge, I want it to be a priority. All my training is force free and science based, people make comments like people being accredited is not worth the paper its written on, and it isn't if its not what you practise, but I don't need prong collars, shock collars, jerking leads, cutting of their circulation to get them to do what I want them to do, nor do i feed them hundreds of treats, i do reward behaviours and always will, but what i do is build a trust and a bond with the dogs, and then make training fun, and all of a sudden the dog is loving training and wanting to do more, and all those destructive behaviours start to disappear, i look at the breed of the dog, and i plan my training around what really motivates them, and when you are highly motivated you want to do it, so its a win win situation.
I can help with recall, loose lead, training walks, enrichment, behaviors such as barking, anxiety, biting, pretty much anything that you have an issue with, I am busy already, but much more time come September.

Planning the new part of the journey, and so excited, we are going to do two hour walks, that will be big social walks, agility fun, we have a huge enclosed field we can use for our agility or just a huge off lead run around, we are going to do sniffari's for our scent hounds, we are going to do chase walks for our labradors, agility for our terriers, fun agility, beach walks, forest walks, reactivity walks and it's going to be the same staff from Daycare but more experienced as they will all have been through comprehensive training before we start, so your prized pups will be in the safest of hands, we are going to do training walks, socialisation walks and reactivity walks, so it's more than dog walking, all the staff, are fully insured, canine first aid trained, we are working together and I am teaching training with them, so they can teach the dogs, so no matter who your pup goes out with, they are going to be in great hands, thank you for all the interest, I am going to send out information this week, so work out logistically what we will be doing on different days, it's going to be so much fun, we seem to be pretty full at the moment if you are interested I can add you onto our list. £15 for two hours!!

A Monday night question

When do you think is the dog's most critical period of their life for development and why?

29/08/2022

“To love a rescuer you must love all of her. You must love the scars covering her body from panicked and hurt animals she was trying to help. You must love her fractured heart, that has been broken so many times she no longer even takes the time to mend the pieces.

To love a rescuer, you must embrace her grit and determination, and know that although she fights a war she can never win, she can and does win a few battles. You must love the tears she will shed over those she lost. You must give her comfort that she refuses to accept, as she blames herself for things she could have never foreseen.

To love a rescuer you must acknowledge the rage she feels towards the world at times, and know that anger is driven by a love of life too few have. You must give her space and room to cry and mourn for the losses that others have caused out of carelessness or cruelty.

To love a rescuer you must understand her passion to heal and save is a calling, not a choice. You must accept that to save animals is part of her soul and without that she could never be happy.

To love a rescuer you must be patient. You must accept her work comes first. She will forgo sleep, forgo food, forgo her life for animals in need. She will work tirelessly until her body and mind fail her completely and she cannot go on.

To Love a rescuer, you must be strong. You must not be threatened by her focus and love of animals. You must accept that the things you love about her, the strength and convictions and loyalty are also what drives her sense of duty to animals in need; you cannot have one without the other.

To love a rescuer you must never ask her to choose, because she will, and it will not be you. “

Thank you to whomever wrote this.
