In no less than a week I have had to save 3 dogs 😰

Sunday: 2 Bullys had got out and had severe heatstroke and had to stop them from being knocked down by cars. One already had a pre existing medical condition but the Vets in Epping managed to reunite them with the owner. NO COLLARS NO REGISTERED MICROCHIP 🤬

Today: Walking my regular in Ongar and a labradoodle was barking and tried crossing the main road with moving cars. Cars was failing to stop and I had to stand in the road to stop traffic to grab the dog from running. Reunited with owner. AGAIN NO COLLAR 😡

Please please ensure your dogs are microchipped and are wearing collars and tags and keep an eye on your dogs in this heat.

Don’t soak them with cold water as the only way dogs can regulate the heat is through their paws and by panting. Use cool collars, frozen water bowls, don’t walk them when it’s hot.
