Hognose's cute little Piggy nose is actually an upturned scale that they use to dig about in loose terrain.
They are well known for their Oscar winning, overly dramatic performances of faking their own deaths to try and fool predators!
Hognose snakes are very slightly venomous. The venom comes from their rear fangs is very rarely harmful to humans. It's mainly used to subdue insects and other small prey.

Our carp are probably one of the most under-rated animals at our sanctuary!
We could literally sit and watch them for hours, plus ours are the friendliest fish EVER and actually come when you call them and come up and play with us at the surface!
Did you know that carp are one of - if not THE smartest of all freshwater fish?!
They are omnivores and eat insects as well as vegetation.

Feeding time for Lacoste our American aligator!
Lacoste eats roughly 2-3 times a week on a strictly raw meet only diet - definitely NOT vegan friendly!!! 🤭
Here you can see her enjoying some yummy chicken, but she also eats fish, rats, chicks, beef, lamb and her absolute favourite liver and hearts!
