Due to government regulations, Cheryl’s WALk n’WAG. Will not be open to pet sitting services from Thursday 5th November till when government agree to ease this lockdown,I will only be able to do dog walking service for key workers or for someone who is unable to leave their house because they are self-isolating.

I will wash my hands before and after handling the dog and keep 2 metres away from other people and animals, including when handing over the dog to the owner.

THURSDAY tip: FIREWORK SEASON

Yes, you read it right. We are already talking about the firework season even though it is still over one month to go. The reason for this is that you can still start working to get your dog used to firework noises by using a process called desensitisation and counter-conditioning.

This usually involves playing recorded versions of the scary noises, but starting at low volume that your dog is not worried by them. The volume and direction of sounds are changed over time, but so slowly that your dog does not show any signs of fear. The sounds should also be associated with something that they enjoy, such as high value treats or a game.

Welcome all,

I’d like to announce I am taking on a NEW exciting venture of doing dog walking and pet sitting for cats and other animals. I have a keen passion in caring for animal and small animals .. well not insects/spiders and feel this is going to be great venture.
