loan full up 14.2hh traditional,skewbald gelding
For loan to possibly move yards. Rupert is a 10 year old, chunky skewbald gelding that I bred so I have known him all his life. He was show a lot by myself from been a yearling up to a 3 year old and he did really well in hand. He was only gelded when he was 8 and I graded him both under saddle and in hand with the TGCA as a 4 year old but due to family commitments and lack of time he’s not been shown since then and he’s been more of just a ridden pony. He has not been in much work over winter and is currently unfit. He is a laid back lad with a good attitude overall. He is good to clip, shoe etc but if he is on grass he can sometimes try it on when it comes to catching him however with a treat he’s generally fine. Rupert loves hacking out and is both good alone and in company and will hack in both traffic and in open fields. He is only ever ridden in a snaffle bridle and would excel in the show ring or be a great general allrounder although jumping is not his strong point but he enjoys having a go. Rupert currently lives out all year with another gelding and is happy doing that however when he was a youngster he was stabled at night and was fine with that. I am looking for a long term loan home for this special boy and he will only be allowed to move yards if the home is right for both him and the loaner. I am looking for someone both experienced and competent to bring out the best in him.
