FTCH Gospelash Highlander of Chardale
(Joyful Hugo of Philchris x Nordenlights Cheyenne of Gospelash) wins the Retriever Championships in South Africa for the second time.
21 retrieves over 2 days saw Rookie come out a worthy winner 👏👏

Rookies son, ‘Twista’ came 3rd 👏👏

Rookie will now retire from competition and be a shooting companion to his owners Estene Trollope and Charles Trollope

Today the Philchris team went to the Sutherland Gundog club Working Test. This is a lovely club in the highlands with ground that offers some good challenges.
Novice I ran Mabel, Beanie and Tain. The tests were mainly in the woods with a double mark, a single mark and a tricky blind. Then out into the open for another blind at an angle over a track.
Veterans completed the same tests as the novice and Riley and Saffi came out of retirement
Open saw 1 test in the woods. A blind with distraction. Test 2 was a blind to shot through bracken, sieves, grass then through some more sieves to a single tree. Difficult to see your dogs.
We moved into the bracken and a very long cold blind caught a few out. Moving down the road to a single mark over the heather that landed just behind some trees. I ran Logie and Beanie in Open.
I have to say I am very pleased with all of them. Rusky was rested after his big walk yesterday. Logie was a machine and just completed all his open tests with such determination 💪💪
A good day out for the Philchris team 👏👏👏

Three days at The Game Fair (Blenheim) showing off our breed in the Working Gundog Arena with Jill Gardner, Adrian Phillips and Sally Richardson.
Rusky, Tain and Beanie joined the team this year.
We demonstrated how we train from Puppy with the gorgeous Radish at 17 weeks through to a fully trained dog. Talking about the breed, the importance of health test and temperament as well as workability.
