I thought I’d start an album for past horses and ponies and what they are upto now ❤️

First up is:

⭐️Honey⭐️

Honey is one of the first ponies Ellie backed and produced herself in 2020.
Ellie had ridden a lot of young ponies before honey and some were only just backed so when I spotted this lovely pony for sale I knew Ellie was more than capable of getting her going and producing her ready for her next little jockey…

She was one of the most easiest ponys to back and took everything in her stride! We took her to the stage of where she was walking, trotting, cantering and also jumping a small course independently before we found her new home!

We’ve been so lucky with some of the homes we’ve found for our ponies and Pippa - Honeys new little jockey (who we sold her to) has done a fantastic job of basically taking her out and doing everything with her, she’s turned out to be an amazing jumping pony, never stops and looks after her jockeys beautifully - she’s also a fab hunting pony…
Note…… Pippa - well done on being a fab little rider and taking Honey to that next step in her training, you’ve done an amazing job ⭐️

Pippa has now out grown her sadly! But the good news is she’s still with the same family ❤️ her new jockey is Emily and from the videos I’ve been sent they are loving life and already are a fantastic partnership!

I usually have a good eye for a nice pony and Honey is one of those ‘one in a million ponies’ she really looks after her little riders - watch the videos !!

So proud of you Honey your a little super star ⭐️

⭐️MAC⭐️

Update! Sorry to anyone who has missed out but these types of cobs don’t hang around for long - Mac has found the most perfect home after flying through his 5 stage vetting and X-rays ❤️

We are already missing his happy little face 🥰

Not many 4yrs around with a temperament like him!

Bit slow on updates due to how busy we’ve been 🥴
Thursday 1st August was a very busy one!!
In the morning - Rectory farm BS show taking two young horses for their first British Novice class on a ticket:
Jax who is 5yrs and full connie was amazing - handle the environment really well had a couple of baby fences down but he was stayed calm and balance round a tricky course.
O***m who is 4yrs really suprised us with a fantastic double clear and even though we took him steady for a nice confidence building round if he wouldn’t have been on a ticket he would have come 1st 😮👏
On the evening we took two more young ones off for some dressage training: one schooling livery and one breaking livery.
Again another shock outing with both performing beyond their years!!!
Pepper came 1st scoring a massive 70.22%
Nightfall came 2nd scoring: 69.3%

Pretty darn good for Nightfall especially being she’s about 9wks from being backed.

⭐️MAC 14.3 4yr to make 15hh+ Irish cob⭐️

HACKING ALONE

Think this chap would hack all day long he loves it and amazing for a 4yr….

He’ll have the occasional look at little things but doesn’t mind:

Cars, vans, artic lorries, tractors, bikes etc…..

He has such a fantastic temperament ❤️

⭐️Vonnie 12hh 13yrs Welsh A mare⭐️

HACKING ALONE

Wow!! This pony had it all thrown at her!!!

Pouring Rain - splashing puddles, over flowing drains

Rainy days make the road sound so much louder too!

We met:

Lots of cars and vans
A Cement lorry
A skip lorry
A double decker bus !! At speed !!😡

I really want a bigger version of this pony, she’s so fun and she didn’t bat an eye at anything really apart from a little look at a drain over flowing!

She just loves life 😍

This pony is really nicely schooled and does have lovely uphill paces, not silly or strong either.

🌟MAC🌟

We took Mac to arena hire on Tuesday and he was foot perfect nothing fazed at all ❤️ He even jumped a water tray no fuss…

He’s such a trier and so genuine.

Easy to load too but I knew he would be.

The video is a long one because we did some flat work at the start…

My son rode him this time because my daughter was busy riding another - Tom is nearly 6ft and he didn’t look too big on him…

Arena hire Tuesday 9th July

WOW!!!! This pony is epic!!!

If you want to be competitive and you’ve got a gutsy kid look no further!

She might only be 12hh but she has a heart of a lion and her technique over a fence is to die for 😍

Shes so genuine, if you keep kicking she just keeps jumping 🌟

Wish I was a kid again 🤪 I’m in love ❤️

INTRODUCING:

⭐️Mac⭐️

14.3 4yr Irish cob gelding will make 15hh

This boy is stunning and a real people pleaser!

Kind loving nature

Has 3 good established paces, he’s still a bit green in places but all the basics are there.

Good to hack out - he’s seen cars, vans, motorcycles, artics, skip lorries…….

Has jumped round a small course and nothing fazed him.

Goes nicely off you leg

He’s so easy to handle, catch and bath

Very easy to load

Amazing to clip

Good with the farrier

We can’t fault him, for a 4yr he has so much to like and in 12 months time he’ll stand out from all the others - we were very tempted to hog him and clip his feathers off as I personally think it would really suit him but we’ve decided to let someone else make that decision as we know some people love to leave feathers on.

INTRODUCING:

⭐️GUS - 13.2 15yrs Welsh B Gelding⭐️

Just a quick sneak peak of the lovely Gus.

This is a very sad sale and is only due to Gus being hopelessly out grown, lots of history know. We actual know the owners well - they bought our lovely 14.2 Connemara Sammy off us so we know first hand what lovely genuine people they are. Their ponies always want for nothing.

He’s done it all:

Dressage

XC

SJ

PC Rallies and Camp

Won the 70cm NSEA champs 2022

Hacks out alone or in company

Good in every way, clip, load, handling etc….

Does prefer to live out.

He’s forward and fun but in no way nasty, sharp or spooky.

He will probably suit a home doing 60/70cm

How cute is this little pony 😍

Fab Leadrein, first ridden - lots of history known

Very well schooled.

Loves her jumping.

Great to hack.

Easy to handle and do by children.

Good to clip and with the farrier

Lives in or out

Good to travel may need some nuts to load.

Upto date with everything

🎥 A quick video showing some flatwork, jumping and hacking!

She’s well established in her flat work, is correct and straight moving - she also knows lateral work too. I’m sure she’d do BD dressage with the right rider.

🌟Roxy - Toprock Carola🌟

HACKING:

Alone and in company, she has happily taken the lead whilst hacking and we have met most things on the road and she’s been so good.
One video you will see an idiot lorry driver having to put his brakes on sharpish, sorry for my language but he was a complete t**t! Luckily Roxy didn’t get too upset by the noise - I’ve included that video so you can see how she copes with the situation ❤️

🌟INTRODUCING - Toprock Carola aka Roxy🌟

14.1 (nearly 14.2) rides more like a little horse, Roxy is such a lovely pony - she has literally been there done it all! Competed BS in the past and I have looked at her record and every show was a double clear, lots and lots of videos on instagram showing what she’s been upto over the last few years! The only thing we don’t think she’s done is hunting but I’m sure she’d take to that too….

Roxy’s current owners feel she would be best suited to a competent teenager or small adult to maybe have fun on doing fun rides, dressage, low level jumping or hacking, their daughter who is 13yrs has loved having her and riding her but they feel she’s just a bit too much pony for them and if Roxy sees something she’s unsure of she can plant her feet a little and looks to the rider for the go ahead!
Whilst she has been with us we have purposely hacked her alone to fully test her out, our road can be very busy and plenty for horses to look at! Yes, she has planted her feet a couple of times but she just waits for a confident rider to encourage her forwards..
We also think she would be fantastic at dressage (she has done some in the past) and someone would have a lot of fun following that avenue!

If you are a confident rider looking for that special friend to hack, school and have general fun on pm me!

Owners would like to stay in touch as this is a very sad decision!

She comes with a lovely saddle and Henry James bridle - a loving perfect home is very important for this special girl ❤️

I saw on a post today where someone was saying they charge £500 to back horses and they do it in a week!! Ok, they maybe manage to sit on them but this all seems very rushed! Every horse is different, some take to it very quickly and some need more time because they are nervous! I also can’t stress enough the importance of long reining, the miles I must have walked just to introduce baby horses to different things and experiences - we don’t rush our young horses and we go at their pace. I’m a pretty good judge as to when they are ready for the next stage - it’s so easy to ruin a horse just by being impatient!

⭐️LACEY - 13.2 14yrs cob mare⭐️

🎥 - Wow! This little cob has been a super star ⭐️

We’ve thrown it all at her and she’s ✅ every box!!

She won’t be around long 😍

🎥 - Schooling
Walk trot and canter - she’s forward but not silly or whizzy - a step up from a kick along riding school type, she in fact has been a riding school pony so used to wobberly kids and doesn’t get offended by a bouncey rider - would be a fantastic mother/daughter/son share - that’s what she’s been doing for the last 3 yrs ❤️

Bless her she loves her jumping - happlily popping a course of 70/80cm - a little jockey may want a little 3 ring bit in her just for turning (I could be wrong tho) - she’s currently in just a snaffle with no martingale.

All I can say is she was amazing ⭐️ nothing fazed her - first time down our road which can get busy!

This is the ultimate test!!! Can Lacey put up with my kids antics 🤣 Yes she can - just watch the video!!!
Hot potato 🥔 that’s all I’ll say!!! - you won’t find many ponies that will put up with what Lacey did ❤️

Totally unfazed with Ellie doing round the world and Ellie’s modified version 🤣 Lacey didn’t even care that our two dogs where having a game of fetch with a football in the background ⭐️

🎥 - Leading off another horse
Not only does she lead off another horse but with a tiny tot on board ✅ she doesn’t mind kids climbing over ❤️

🎥 - Clipping
Super star ✅

She’s good with the farrier - Bare foot - good strong feet

Good to load - lorry or trailer

Good to groom and handle - kind and easy in the stable

No vices or health issues - passed a 5 stage vetting when purchased - did have leg mites but that was 3 yrs ago so all clear now but does have a little bit of scarring from them - passed her vetting with the mites x

Does prefer to be on a yard with a few horses - a livery yard….

You won’t be disappointed with this lovely girl ⭐️
