Timmy has permanently moved into the house with us and is happily living as a house rabbit, this has worked out really well, he is enjoying all the extra attention! We would never be able to re-home Timmy due to his health issues so this is our best option for him.
Grace and babies, Betty (female) and Bugs (male) here they were 7 weeks old, exploring their new extra space! Although they have been vaccinated they will not have full immunity yet so cannot go into the outside enclosures but at least they have a 4 metre hutch to play around in for the time being! (sound on for commentary).
This little video was taken on the 22nd May when Grace's babies were just 4 weeks old, she was being given away free on a neighbourhood site described as a neutered male! The chap giving her away was a backyard breeder so he would have known exactly what she was (or perhaps not)! Poor Grace gave birth the day we took her in. What an amazing mum she has been.
Funny old Pegasus nest building today, Thebe his wife was looking at him as if he had gone mad!
Pegasus and Thebe enjoying this gift from Christine and George, thank you guys! (Please excuse the background chatter from our vollies!).
These two get so excited when feeding they end up wearing more than drinking it!
This little one is having a wash after a messy feed, so sweet!
Naughty Niblings, our little abandoned in a box rabbit, exploring the top shed looking for trouble!
Here's a little video clip of Jackson and Calypso in their home.
What is the matter with people yet another little abandoned baby rabbit found in a cardboard box outside flats in Wallington yesterday. The poor little girl is so thin we estimate her age at around 7/8 weeks.
How can people do it!!! These babies were abandoned in a cardboard box by the re-cycling bins at a local supermarket. Luckily a lovely lady noticed the box moving slightly and decided to investigate, if they hadn't been found they would have had no chance of survival. We estimate them to be about 4 weeks old, one of the guys looks like he is a lionhead the other is smooth coated, they are so sweet and were so hungry! Safe and sound now though.
Such sweethearts, Jackson and Calypso a pair of older gentlemen born May 2017, both neutered, a lovely pair of boys they have been with us since May and sadly no interest in them at all!
Lovely little video of Penny enjoying a carrot top!
Remember our little hand reared babies, Mayflower and Cherokee now named Skye and Chase. They have been re-homed, Chase was castrated before leaving and they have come back to us for a visit and for us to have Skye spayed, she had her op yesterday, all went well, they will stay with us for a couple of days and then go back to their home, their owners are missing them very much and will be pleased to get them home! It was so lovely for us to see what happy little bunnies they have grown up to be.
Little Timmy is doing so well, here he is having a run around in the top shed, please excuse the quality of the clip! This guy has stolen our hearts!
Timmy is obviously a real character, so friendly, we are keeping his cage clear of stuff right now which allows him to move around without having to navigate obsticles.
Little update on Timmy, he is doing OK, still a way to go yet, so many matts to remove and we are trying not to over stress him as he then becomes disorientated, so after removing the worst that were restricting his movements we are doing a little every day. We have also vaccinated him due to the high risk of vhds and myxo at the moment. But as you can see he is eating well!
