Who’s ready for Drop 6? The grand finale of 2024!

We’re a tad bit late on this one 😬 and we’re hoping it’ll all be ready before Royal Mail’s final posting dates for xmas delivery🤞

Which means we may just do it out of the blue with not much, or any, warning or lead up

A little BTS of how our cold process 100% natural dog shampoo bars are made…

From mixing the natural oils at a low temperature (called ‘cold process’ - which retains all the natural goodness), to be ready to be shipped to you, the whole process takes around 6 weeks

Curing the bars for about 4 or so weeks allows the saponification process to complete - where the shampoo bars dry and harden so they last longer, become mild, and for excess water to evaporate

This Friday we’re doubling down on what matters most, and turning Black Friday… BLUE. 30% of total sales will be donated to British Divers Marine Life Rescue who relentlessly champion for the conservation and wellbeing of marine animals the full length of the U.K through their amazing team of volunteers

Black Friday has evolved into a month long race to the bottom, often devaluing the care and craftsmanship that goes into creating products, and it doesn’t quite align with what we’re about. Plus we like to do things a little differently

First off, thank you so much to everyone who grabbed a Honey Fungus mug or Lichen dog bowl yesterday. Despite a few things playing up behind the scenes (and causing a bit of a mad panic until 7:05pm 😬 apologies) everything sold out in crazy time once again 🤯

There were a few Honey Fungus mugs we couldn’t get online for yesterday’s drop, and a couple Autumn Embers mugs from Drop 4 we kept back, so a mini Drop 5.1 is now live on the website 🙌

Browsing from now until 7:30pm when they’ll be purchasable. If you missed out last night, now’s your chance 🤞 both Honey Fungus and Autumn Embers won’t be coming back in the future

Some shocking facts on ocean plastic. Unfortunately it’s by far the most abundant type of pollution we find on our beaches here in the South West, and the same is true all over the world - just take a good look when you’re next at the beach 😕

Being a surfer for nearly two decades and having spent the majority of my adult life living on the coast in Australia, fortunate to spend time in the water with whales, dolphins, rays, sharks, turtles… it’s something you could say I’m pretty passionate about

I remember the first time I saw some ghost net tangled around some drift wood as I came in from surfing at Bude in Cornwall - I didn’t think much of it, how it got there, who would recover it or the harm it could do

There’s no need for photos and videos from far away lands of the havoc ocean plastic does to marine life though. Our friends over at see the horror day in, day out of what it does to marine life around our shores and work tirelessly to keep the marine life around our shores safe

We’ve made it our responsibility as a business to not only consider the materials that go into our products but to roll our sleeves up and continue to get involved in the solutions to these problems because we think it’s the probably the right thing to do and now couldn’t imagine it any other way 💪
