Sue Gardner Racing is a small, family-run business centred around Sue Gardner, a licensed National Hunt and flat trainer. The small, but dedicated team includes Sue, her husband Des, daughter Lucy, + there dedicated team together they go to great lengths to ensure that each horse is looked after in a way which unlocks their individual racing potential.

Barry is an 8yo, 15’3 bay thoroughbred gelding. He would make a nice all rounder/riding club/eventing type/ point to point horse . Barry has shown a lot of promise and is always willing to please, he jumps well and has schooled over poles, tyres, barrels and fences as well as going nicely on the flat.

He is always snaffle mouthed, is a sensible horse under saddle ( he has been ridden out by an 11 year old), and is a pleasure to have on the yard. He is easy to do in all ways.

We have a couple of ex race horses for sale that have retired from the track. They are sound, clean legs eligible for ROR jumps poles, tyres,barrels etc good to box etc geldings.

Bruce and Foxy spent a lovely few days in Jersey, behaving impeccably and although not getting on the score sheet yet, with work still in progress, they have come on in leaps and bounds and given us all a great trip. ❤️

Time to hit the gallops for the 3 day old!

So beautiful as the fog lifts and the sun comes up…….

At last the freeze has gone and the team are back in work and schooling. Now keeping fingers crossed we can get racing 🤞

A way to start the year lightonthewing (Danny) won first time out over fences at Exeter today, really great for the Woodhayes racing syndicate !! A lovely and easy syndicate to get involved in. Cheers to everyone who supported us today and joined with the new years celebrations.

Today was a really sad day for all of us at Woodhaye’s, we lost part of the family in Trans Express, Charlie for everyone that has met him. He has been an unbelievable star to all of us over the years who just loved being a racehorse. He came back year after year for us and tried his best especially at his beloved Exeter. Sleep easy tonight Charlie.
