Tonight was a perfect example as to why you need to make sure your dog has a collar and tag on as well as bring microchipped (of course with up to date contact details as well 😉)

Cassie here was out on an adventure. As I got from the computer I happened to glance out the window to see Cassie bolt out from the fields opposite but with no hooman, I thought she'd be long gone by the time I got downstairs but thought I'd check if I could see her and she was cowering just along the road. After a few minutes gaining her trust she let me check her collar and ring the number but it went to answerphone, her mum quickly called back to say she hadn't even realised she wasn't in the house and would come straight round.

It turns out Cassie took herself for a walk after her mum's daughter said that she wasn't feeling well enough and went home and guess which house she was outside when I found her - yep the daughter's house in the next village along after a nice run through the very wet and muddy fields 😏

I got a lovely message after to let me know Cassie was home safe and they appreciated I'd got in contact.
