Oh, it’s good to be back! But wow, the weather could have been a bit kinder to us today ☔️🥶😂

We just wanted to share our closure dates for 2025 so far, so you can pop them in your diaries:

Closure Dates for All Services
📅 Friday 25th April – Reopening Wednesday 30th April
📅 1st August – Reopening 15th August

Boarding Bookings Update
Boarding slots are already filling up—particularly July, which is always the first to book out! If you’re planning to board with us, please get your dates in soon to avoid disappointment.

If you’re considering boarding with us for the first time, please note:
🐾We require a consultation and trial before accepting new dogs.
🐾This involves arranging a suitable time to bring your dog(s) to visit us. During the consultation, we’ll show you around, introduce your dog(s) to the space, and discuss everything with you.
🐾The trial will take place straight after the consultation, lasting a couple of hours. During this time, we’ll settle your dog(s) in the kennel and assess how comfortable they are in the environment.

Now is the perfect time to book your consultation and trial, as availability becomes very limited during busy periods.

We’re looking forward to welcoming lots of paws, both old and new, in 2025! 🐾💛

Happy New Year to all our lovely customers!

We hope you’ve had the best time over the festive season. After a lovely break, we’re ready to get back into the swing of things and can’t wait to see the Sandy Paws Crew!

We’ll be open from 8am tomorrow, and we’ll be in front of the diary later today if anyone has any booking requests or changes to their usual routine.

Thank you so much for your continued support—here’s to another fur-filled year of fun!

When the worst happens, it’s comforting to have the best people by your side. 🥰 We are incredibly grateful.

A heartfelt thank you to:

Kenny from Ash Glass Design – for creating the most beautiful candle holder with a piece of Jock’s ashes, to match the one we had made for Snoop. Kenny, your kindness and compassion mean the world to us, and we couldn’t recommend you highly enough.

Jane & Rhianna at Eildon View Pet Crematorium – for being so caring and gentle throughout the whole process. Nothing was too much trouble, and the cherished mementos you made of our boy are beyond special. We knew he was in the best hands.

And last, but certainly not least, a huge thank you to everyone at Galedin Vets – from the receptionists who always had his insulin ready (even with those last-minute requests!) to the nurses and vets who handled Jock’s stubbornness with patience and care at every visit (he was never a fan of the vet and always made sure everyone knew it 🤣). Your kindness, especially in his final moments, will forever be remembered and appreciated. 💕

Super sad post, guys. 😢 We had to say an unexpected goodbye to our boy Jock tonight. The toughest of cookies, right until the very end. He was with us from the start, back when we first got together. He grew up with our kids and became the foreman of Sandy Paws, running the show before passing the boss duties to Lilibet when he retired.

Jock and Snoop were the heart and soul of our business—the faces behind our logo. It’s so hard to believe they’re both gone now.

13 years young, our boy. I can see him now, having the biggest reunion with Snoop and all his other Sandy Paws pals who crossed the rainbow bridge before him.

Jock, you were a dream of a dog. 💭
We are beyond heartbroken 💔
But so grateful for every single memory
We love you forever xx

Today, we remember the hero dogs of 9/11, who worked tirelessly alongside first responders in the aftermath of tragedy. These brave animals searched through the rubble for survivors, offering hope and comfort when it was needed most. Their courage and loyalty helped bring solace during one of the darkest times in history. 🐾💔

I think I’ve finally got the boarding side of the Pet Parent app up and running! 🎉 You can now easily create a profile for your dog, manage bookings, check availability, and more! 🐶✨

I’m still adding in some existing bookings, and the daycare and walk sections will be added next! If you’d like to use the app going forward, send me your email and I’ll add you in.

Then once I’ve registered you can get started, simply use our business code: SPAB when signing up. Can’t wait to see all your fur babies! 🐕💛

✅ Update Pet Info: Keep your pup’s details current.
✅ Manage Your Info: Ensure your contact details are up-to-date.

✅ Upload Documents: Submit vaccination records directly through the app.
✅ Secure Payments: Pay for bookings securely, right from your phone.

🛠️ A Quick Note: Over the next month, we’ll be moving all boarding bookings onto this new system, followed by daycare bookings. We’re doing it step by step to ensure everything runs seamlessly.
