Tod, a 16.1HH 2014 Thoroughbred Gelding at one of our race yards in Northants UK.

Tod is a stunning 16.1hh, 11-year-old who has no vices. He’s decided the racing game isn’t for him anymore—he’d much rather take life at a steadier pace. He loves jumping and is good to load, travel, and good for the farrier. He ran just two days ago, but is now simply enjoying time in the paddocks and is not currently being ridden. He’s officially out of racing and looking for his forever home.

We’ve had him since he was five, and he’s very much loved. We truly hope he finds someone just as wonderful to take him on.

He would suit a wide variety of lovely homes.

Goliath is a truly lovely horse, just a bit too slow for racing, so his owner has decided to let him move on to a new home. He’s 15.3hh, lightly built, and a very good jumper.

He’s a 3-year-old with a sweet nature. He can be a little sensitive, but that’s completely understandable for his age — with more experience and confidence, he’ll grow out of it.

He’s already done some cross-country and working hunter–type jumps and was incredibly obliging, happily doing everything asked of him.
I could see him developing into a nice little eventer. He would suit a rider with some experience, and with further schooling he has plenty of potential to progress with the right person.

Angel, a 15.2HH Thoroughbred Mare and her c**t foal standing at one of our race yards in Dorset UK.

Angel is 19 years old, she has had a few foals, and could either come back into light work as a happy hacker or make a wonderful companion horse.

She’s 15.2hh with no vices. She has bred several successful foals, including winners, and was a good racehorse herself. She’s easy to handle in every way and is happy living in or out, though she does prefer being out.

Angel hasn’t been ridden for a few years, but it wouldn’t take much to bring her back into gentle work as a family horse or happy hacker. She would also make a lovely, affectionate companion for someone.

Angel comes with her stunning foal who is a c**t out of Twighlight Son and he is now 6 months old. He does have a slight issue with his stifle, and we’re unsure if it will ever be 100%.

He’s a sweet little chap, but anyone taking him on would be taking a chance — he may not be sound enough to be ridden in the future and may require surgery.

The vet believes it’s a cyst on the stifle, but it can’t be fully diagnosed until he’s a bit older. As a future racehorse, he unfortunately doesn’t make the cut at this stage, so we’re hoping to find him a loving home outside of racing.

With the right person willing to invest time and care, he may go on to another discipline, or he could make a lovely addition to a breeding home, as he is still a c**t and has excellent bloodlines.

Gloria, a 16.2HH 2015 Thoroughbred Mare standing at our clients yard in Bolton UK.

Gloria was rehomed last year, but very sadly her current owner has recently been diagnosed with a medical condition. Because of this change in circumstances, she now needs to rehome Gloria.

Gloria only raced twice and is an impressive mare — big, strong, and well-balanced with a great presence. She’s an ideal choice for someone looking for a forward-going mare to bring on and compete.

She has a lovely temperament in the stable and is perfect for clipping, shoeing, and the dentist. All vaccinations and dental work are up to date.

Gloria loves hacking and prefers to be in front leading. She is very good on the ground, forward going under saddle, and goes best with soft hands and a quiet, balanced rider. She has done hurdle training, jumped coloured poles in the school, and completed some cross-country courses. She is still green in these areas and will benefit from more schooling. She has no vices, is fully up to date with her care, and does not buck or rear.

She hacks brilliantly alone and is bombproof on the roads, completely unfazed by motorbikes, lorries, and other traffic. She is a very sensible and safe mare.

Dream is a well-rounded 5-year-old Thoroughbred mare standing at 16hh. Athletic and talented with an excellent jump and a lovely ride, she has shown that racing simply isn’t her calling.

Good to handle in all respects, although she can pull a few faces over the stable door but nothing more than a bit of character. She is happy living in or out with no vices.

Medically she has a slight old bow tendon injury (front left), she will be a prospect for someone looking for a low level fun horse.

Lilly, a 16.1HH 2020 Thoroughbred Mare at one of our race yards in UK Surrey.

Lilly is a 5-year-old filly who sustained a tendon injury in the autumn. She is a straightforward, honest ride with no vices.

She incurred approximately 15% damage to both front tendons while racing, yet she has remained sound throughout. After completing six weeks of rehabilitation, she is progressing very well. However, we feel it is in her best interest not to return to racing and instead move into a suitable home where she can begin a new career in another discipline.

Ideally, Lilly should be given a further 6–8 weeks of rest before starting hacking and light work. We are happy to provide a tailored rehabilitation programme to support her full recovery.

Lilly has never been lame during this process and has stayed consistently sound. She would be best suited to a kind, knowledgeable home looking for a lovely mare with a good temperament. She would excel as a low-level, happy hacking horse and a wonderful addition to a family home.

Loan Home Wanted

Mal, a 17HH 2017 Thoroughbred Gelding in the UK Cheshire

Mal is one of our horses who we originally rehomed to Louise in 2021. Her personal circumstances have since changed, and she is now looking for a permanent or long-term loan home for him.

Louise is happy to continue covering his insurance and physio costs.

Mal is barefoot, has excellent feet, and she would really like him to remain that way. He has had consistent groundwork with a wonderful trainer. Louise simply no longer has the time to bring him back into work under saddle. Previously, she rode him bitless.

Mal is honestly like a big dog—he follows you everywhere, adores bum scratches, and even smiles for treats. Louise’s children can easily lead him to and from the field. He loves dogs, wants to be friends with every horse he meets, and Louise has never seen him put his ears back. He is just a genuinely lovely boy. His only quirk is that while he’s fine being taken away from other horses, he does get upset if they are taken away from him.

If a new loan home didn’t work out, Louise would gladly take him back and arrange retirement livery for him. Mal would be best suited to a low-level home for happy hacking, fun rides, and a generally relaxed lifestyle.

Louise adores this horse, and it would mean so much if one of our members could offer him a kind, caring home. Even better would be somewhere local so Louise and the kids could visit and fuss over him regularly.

Justin, a 16.2HH 2017 Thoroughbred Gelding in Kent Canterbury.

Justin is currently enjoying a well-deserved break while waiting for his next home. He’s spending time relaxing and regaining condition after a busy few months, allowing him to reset both physically and mentally before being brought back into consistent work. He will be sold from field as now back with his owner until he is rehomed.

On the ground, Justin is a pleasure to handle. He’s well mannered in the stable, enjoys attention and cuddles, and is easy to catch and lead. He is a genuine and kind-natured horse who loves human interaction.

Under saddle, Justin shows real promise but does have a few quirks that require an experienced and confident rider. He can be stubborn when hacking alone and has been known to nap and rear in these situations.

However, he is perfectly behaved when ridden in company and never puts a foot wrong in a group setting. With the right guidance, patience, and consistent work, this is an area that can continue to improve.

Justin is also a little reluctant to load into a trailer when by himself, though he travels happily alongside other horses. Again, this will benefit from continued calm and patient handling.

He is sedated for shoeing as he can become unsettled with farrier work, but this is due to sensitivity rather than pain — he is perfectly fine for trimming. All veterinary checks have been carried out, and there are no underlying issues.

Justin is a talented jumper and shows real potential for someone looking for a rewarding project. He has a fantastic technique and could make an exciting prospect for someone experienced in bringing on horses for competition or pleasure riding.

He can live out all year round with appropriate rugging and is a sweet, sociable horse in the field. He is now ready to find a knowledgeable and loving home.

Justin would suit a confident, capable rider looking for a genuine project with bags of potential. He is not suitable for a novice but, in the right hands, will make a wonderful partner.

Price is negotiable to the right home — finding him the perfect match is the priority.
