The easiest way to get to me for the next few months will be through Avonbridge as the road works start right at the junction outside of me 🐾

🚦 Road Closure - B8022, Avonbridge Road, Slamannan to junction at Leppie Road (Crosspoint Junction) to B825🚦

B8022, Slamannan, from a point adjacent to B825 in a northerly direction for approximately 1000 metres or thereby.

From Monday 13th January 2025 until Wednesday 28th May 2025.

Diversion route below highlighted in green.

I will confirm arrangements for public and school buses asap.

This is for SGN Mains Gas works.

Good Afternoon Councillor Mackie-Brown,

Please see attached which offers information in relation to this road closure. There is also an associated plan with showing the closure area and diversion route.

SGN have put a timely closure period in place however it is hoped works will be concluded before the end date anticipated. The timely closure has been put in place to account for potential overrun on site due to issues arising on site and/or winter weather, and also in case nearby customers take up the option for a gas connection which SGN could accommodate on site at the time and avoid a further and additional road closure down the line.

We have kept in regular dialogue with SGN throughout this lengthy project and will continue to do so over the course of this road closure as work progresses.

Please also note our Transport Planning Unit have been advised of this closure in advance to make arrangements for local bus services and school bus diversions as applicable.
