On this day 5 years ago we welcomed Hector our very first Walking Pack member on a daycare, pictured with our cockapoo Hamish who is no longer with us but lived the best life in his last few years…so grateful to all our customers, past and present for allowing us to go from that one walk for the whole week to the busy business we have today 😍

Grooming - Walking - Home Boarding

Situated in the semi-rural village of California near Falkirk, Diane and Mark operate a unique “one stop shop” for all your dog’s needs, whether it is a groom in our luxury log cabin salon, home boarding in our large bungalow with a dedicated “doggie” room and large enclosed gardens, out for single or group walks transported in our dedicated vehicle or arranging for your dog to attend special functions such as Weddings.

Dog Grooming

California Dog Grooming is a welcoming, relaxing setting for your pets pampering.

Each dog will be given individual, one to one attention in a luxurious and friendly salon to help create a positive and happy experience. Diane takes care of the grooming and is trained to City and Guilds and OCN Level 3, Advanced Companion Animal CPCR and First Aid for Pets standard.

We pride ourselves in providing bespoke individual packages for each customer, particularly the young , old and nervous dogs across all breeds – all dogs are given regular toilet breaks in our large enclosed garden. Packages can include hourly appointments which can help your dog get used to the whole process or why not try the alternative bath and groom appointment schedule.

Other Customized Packages Can Include -

Walk and Groom- this includes pick up and drop off, ideal for having your dog exercised and groomed while you are at work.

Home Board and Groom - Relax whilst on holiday or on a weekend away and come home to lovely, clean and happy doggie.

Customers using more than one service can set up a monthly invoice scheme is required*

Dog Walking

We know that as much as you love your dog, you cant be in two places at once, so we offer our dog walking service throughout the day, alos ideal for the all important aspect of socialisation. We have unlimited access to a private and safe open space, ideal for off lead adventures.

Home Boarding

California Home Boarding provide a fully licensed, safe environment for your dog whilst you relax and enjoy your break away. To ensure your dog gets used to their surroundings why not use California Dog Grooming or California Dog Walking as we aim for a seamless transition. New customers will be required to come for a “meet and greet” visit prior to booking to ensure you and your pooch are happy- this will include meeting our own fantastic cockapoo Hamish, who loves to have friends over!

Wedding Packages

We can provide an in- house “one stop shop” for couples who dream about making their own dog or a family dog a part of their wedding day but struggle make it happen as everyone is at the wedding and theirs other things to do! We cover most of Central Scotland with this package and will be happy to discuss more distant venues.

An example of a bespoke wedding package is-

Day Before Wedding

- Doggie picked up in the morning in our custom vehicle

- Doggie taken for a long walk

- Doggie given the full grooming experience in our luxury salon

- Doggie has sleepover in our licensed home after a busy exciting day!

Wedding Day

Doggie taken for a long walk (we will keep them clean for the important wedding photos!)

Doggie escorted to the venue/ location as per customers’ requirements

Doggie escorted back to California Home Boarding for a quiet night whilst the bride and groom keep busy…

Day After Wedding

Doggie taken for a long walk in morning

Doggie gets dropped off at a location the customer requires or may spend days/weeks at California Home Boarding depending on the honeymoon arrangements.
