Scottish Championships 2024 was foggy and damp but the results from Dewar Dressage were dazzling! 🌟
Friday started with Honor Casely and her smart boy Lafforcry getting 2nd in Elementary Bronze and Chloe Balfour and her precious girl Westernewlands Jersey just missing out on a podium position (again🙈 - but keep reading 🥹) to take 4th! We then moved on to the Elementary Silver where Lilly Godfrey and her handsome boy Fourstar Struck added to their titles by winning 🥇 🥳. Rebecca Robb and Brodnants Diamond Bracelet took 3rd place and massive congratulations to them for getting a wildcard for Petplan championships in October - it was definitely a happy Friday! Imogen Casely and her awesome girl Parvadean Estelle kicked off the music classes for us winning the Elementary Bronze section and Helen Robertson and Dowland Hannah made their podium debut taking 2nd place in a very close FSM prelim bronze class.
Saturday brought more fog which caused Lynne Wearing and her golden boy Asgard Go For Gold problems added with a banging door to cost them precious marks but still managed a podium place and took 3rd in the prelim silver. Jo Anne Murray and her girl Almwind were queen of the bridesmaid position taking 🥈 in the Medium Bronze, FSM Medium Bronze and FSM Advanced Medium Bronze. Again massive congratulations to them for there double wildcard qualification for petplan champs in October. My own golden girl Kianca done a lovely medium test with a rewarding score from a list 1 but split judging just cost her and we finished 2nd! Medium has always been my nemesis level 🤪 She then coped reasonably well with a pigeon invasion on her FSM Medium to take the win and another title to add to her name 🥳

It is amazing to be part of so many people’s journeys but this weekend special mention to 2 in particular. Chloe I love the bones of you and your girl and you made me cry! Yesterday I was reminiscing about when I first met you just after you got Jersey still at school and full of so much hopes and dreams! I have loved every second and been a delight to see you keep raising the bar - first win unaffiliated, registering with BD, first win BD, first plus 70%, first championship, first top 10 at championship and now the long awaited podium position! Imogen 😭 the most switched on teenager I’ve ever met (sometimes not sure who keeps who right with us)! Yesterday saw her and Stella ride their last centre line together and to do it and win was the dream 👏 it’s has been a sheer honor to be part of this journey and see you achieve so much - Stella really is a legend! I look forward to supporting you with your new partnership! Exciting times ahead!
Now on to Nationals prep and then Petplan Championships in October - year far from over!
