We need a little help ... we desperately need someone to give us a helping hand to look for local and national funding opportunities that we could be eligible for, maybe someone retired or who has 1 or 2 hours a week who can do some searching on the Internet - or maybe this is an area you already have experienced/work in, you may know someone who has a few hours each week and is a good online detective who can find some hidden funding 😁. Or equally you might be good on the telephone and you could reach out to some possible funding options by doing some phone calls ?

You are welcome to come in and use our WiFi or the office, and you'll have lifetime free kitty cuddles as payment.

If you think you could support us please send me a message or tag someone you think may have the gift of the gab who would be purrfect.

2 Weekend Volunteer opportunities available now @ The Kit-Tea Café

Details as follows ..

2 Supervisor positions are available
🐾Saturday 9am-1pm
🐾Sunday 9am-1pm
🐾Applicants must 18+ due to key holders position.

Customer service experience and love for Kit-Tea Cats essential.
Full training will be given as well as access to courses in first aid for both people and cats.

Happy Wednesday from our blue-eyed boy Alfie.

Our IT department is having some technical issues with our appointment systems on a Thursday.

We are open tomorrow and do have appointments available 3-4pm and 4 30-5.30pm. They are unfortunately not showing on our system on the website, but if you'd like to book in, just give us a call or drop us a FB message.

Miss Penelope Purrington says Welcome Back everyone 👋

We've missed you all, but we're now open as usual and are kitty cats are doing great- all three of our ickle babies are out and about during our sessions now so book in an visit us so you can enjoy their tiny bum wiggles.

Also we're looking for a regular cat groomer. If you can recommend anyone I'd welcome any pms.

My lovely shop manager Lisa and volunteer Asha are out and about handing out some of our lovely new flyers... let us know if you would like some to display in your business/uni/work and equally we have lots of local business displayed in ours if you'd like us to put your flyers or business cards in our reception area.

Bookings are open to visit us From Monday 29th July.... we hope you can book back in next week and you'll get to see our teenie tiny babies who are running riot at the moment 😂😂

🚫🚫 Urgent Customer Post 🚫🚫

Unfortunately we've decided to close the café this week, I'm sure you can all appreciate this decision hasn't been taken lightly and we are terribly sorry to let down those of you who were planning on visiting this week. A couple of our babies are being treated by our vet team, nothing too serious we hope , and i know I'm just being over cautious, but untill we know fully what's going on and with who... I'm not taking any risks to the other kitty cats/volunteers or the public.

Anyone who us scheduled for a visit can you please make contact with me and we can refund your booking or get you rebooked back in for a later date, I will also contact all customers booked to visit from today untill the 28th July.

I hope you can all agree that our Kit-Tea Cats are our main priority and are part of our family and their welfare is paramount.

Sorry again and hope to see you all soon.

Our 3 ickle babies are out of quarentine, so if you are visiting us over the next week or two watch your feet 😁😁 as they are teenie and quick.

But it's great to have the full Kit-Tea Crew all together, the big fur babies are not too sure ... but introductions are going OK.

Rob & Emily from our vet team popped by today to give Dougal McTavish and Penelope Purrington their final checks and vaccinations so they can end their isolation period now - so that's great news.

Now we start the slow introductions ..... let the fun begin.

We can never rant and rave about Rob & Emily and wee George enough, so if you are looking for a vet or are thinking about moving to a new one, definitely consider these guys.

🐾Hello Kit-Tea Family 🐾

Sorry things have been quiet here, it's been a very challenging week, me and 2 of the Kit-Tea Crew have had covid 😷. My senior nanny is on holiday, we've got 2 babies in isolation and an orphaned 5 week old baby who needs hand fed day and night .......so it's been quite a week. If I've missed any messages or queries please re message to remind me. We are open from tommorow as usual 😀

Thank you to everyone who helped out in the café today in my absence. It sounds like we had some more lovely kind customers in today. We were gifted some donations of cat food and some money in our donation cup.

We are going to be changing our opening hours/days slightly @ The Kit-Tea Cafe over the next few weeks.

We may be looking at possibly adding to our volunteer team, both as and when and regular positions. If you are already on either of these teams don't worry no one is being replaced 😅 (there's just a few little gaps where people are not available or not old enough to be left alone etc)

If you think you might be available the positions vary from for early morning or evening cleaning and feeding, to serving customers and helping to look after our fur babies these positions are all year round and not just for the summer holidays.

A massive thank you to the 8 people who all sent us a donation yesterday.... I actually cried a bit - times are so bloody hard and everyone is feeling the pinch yet you guys sent some of your hard earned money to look after kittens that aren't even yours 🥹. It's definitely made a hard week look a bit brighter - so Thank you from me and our now 11 babies 🐾🐾🐾

Things are a little hectic at The Kit-Tea HQ...so please bare with us over the next few days.... we are currently hand feeding an ickle rejected baby, as well as having tiny Penelope and Dougal in quarantine AND .....the 4 girls recovering from their surgery. Like most of you know we are a non profit mental health initiative and we really do rely on support from you guys to help us pay our vet bills which as you can imagine this week alone....is too just too many numbers to write 😔 but only the best vet team for our babies.

If anyone would like to donate to the Kit-Tea Care fund our bank details are below our bank is Cashplus and under the name The Kit-Tea Café -I'd be forever grateful and repay you with tiny kitty cuddles ...but on a serious note we really do need a little help this week .. equally if anyone wants a shot at the night feeds too 😅.

May we present our 2 new ickle babies ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️

We think our Calico is a girl and Ginger is a boy...

They are in the Café but they under a 3 week quarintine regime designed by out vet team to safeguard our other kitty cats 🐈 so you guys will see them in a few weeks.

Kitty neuter update 🏥 🤕

All four of our girls are doing so good! With extra cuddles and a few more sneaky treats they are all on the mend. We are looking forward to getting back to normality next week!

As can be seen in our pictures, our girls are all sporting a new hair do 🤣 Please don’t worry that our babies look a little different from normal - rest assured this is the normal process when a neutering procedure is done on a female cat.
