🎆 Fireworks & Our Furry Friends 🎇

Bonfire Night and festive fireworks can be lots of fun for us – but for our dogs, it can be a really scary time.
Here are a few facts and tips to help keep your pups safe and calm this season 💛🐾

🐶 Did you know?

Around 45% of dogs show signs of fear during fireworks.

Dogs hear sounds up to four times further away than humans – that’s why fireworks seem so much louder to them.

Even confident dogs can get spooked by sudden bangs and flashes.

💡 How to help your dog:

Walk early – before it gets dark and fireworks start.

Create a safe den – a quiet, cosy space with blankets and their favourite toy.

Close curtains and play calm music or TV to muffle the noise.

Stay calm yourself – dogs pick up on our energy!

Don’t punish or over-comfort them; just be present and reassuring.

If your dog struggles badly, speak to your vet about calming aids or pheromone diffusers.

✨ Bonus tip: A soothing bath or tidy-up groom before the festivities can help dogs relax and feel more settled.
