Red weather warning

It’s not often we get a red weather warning in Falkirk. Due to this I’ve cancelled all of tomorrow’s training as it’s not safe us or our dogs to be out.

Before you let your dogs out in your gardens tomorrow remember to check your gates and fences. If you need to walk your dogs keep them on a lead with a secure harness/collar.
Our dogs can become easily spooked and disoriented in high winds.

Happy Christmas Eve everyone.

I hope everyone has a great Christmas with your families. I’m sure all your pups and dogs will be on Santa’s good list so will be spoiled tomorrow.

I’m taking a few days off but will be back on the 5th January with new puppy and dog training classes.

Today was my last class of 2024, meet some of the fantastic pups and dogs who came along this month.

Group classes will restart on Sunday 5th January both puppy and any of dog classes.

Next set of classes start the weekend of 23/24th November this is the last set of classes in 2024.

As much as I don’t want to bring up
Christmas I only have three blocks of classes left this year. They start on 6th October, 3rd November and the weekend of 23rd/24th November.

Puppy and dog training group class start on the first Sunday of the month.

However, I also offer group classes to help with recall/off lead training, loose lead walking and classes to continue the training you have done previously or as a refresher class. At the moment if anyone is interested in these let me know and I can organise a class. These will be held on Sundays.

The recall/off lead class is suitable for dogs of all ages and abilities. In this class we work on recall from distractions including other dogs and food, walking next to you offers lead and an emergency stop command.

The loose lead walking workshop is ideal way to build our dogs abilities to walk past distractions. We train for two weeks then go for a walk for two classes.

The continuation/advanced class is ideal if you just want to practice more and build on your dog skills or if your dog has forgotten some of their manners.

All the classes are held in Callendar park have between four and six dogs per class The classes are £60 for the four week block - if you brought your pup or dog to my classes and come back you get a £10 discount.

Just wanted to let everyone know I’m taking next week off from training. I will still be answering messages and calls but it may just take me longer to reply.

Tonic our 3 year old golden retriever is getting stem cell treatment for hip dysplasia, disc problem, groin and shoulder muscle damage. This is her first treatment and I’m not sure how she will cope. Due to this I’ve arranged to be off so I can hold her paw.

I will be back training from Monday 30th September with classes starting Sunday 6th October.

Next set of group classes start on Sunday 1st September in Callander Park Falkirk. The classes are a 4 week block which costs £60.

I only only use reward based training and an approved dog trainer with ABTC.

Congratulations to all of Junes simply pawsitive graduates. Unfortunately a few dogs and pups couldn’t come today but im sure they will graduate soon. All the mums, dads & aunties should be very proud.

My next set of classes start on Sunday 7th July.

The advance class is the new name for the refresher/continuation class for dogs who have came to either puppy or dog training in the past.

This class is be a mix of both general training and the recall classes. We would cover things like recall, walking on/off lead next to you, paying attention with distractions etc.

These classes would run for 4 weeks on a Sunday and cost £50 These are only available to pups and dogs who have came to one of my previous classes or met for 1-2-1.

Next month I have space available in the dog training class (general dog training) and the continuation class which is for dog and pups who have already done training with myself and want to build on this.
