Rolo is looking for a new home where she can be an only cat, because she's not getting on with her owners' other cats. She is a three-year-old Asian chocolate ticked tabby and would ideally be looking for owners who are around most of the time, for instance retired people or someone who works from home.

Her current owners describe her as very affectionate, playful, intelligent and inquisitive, with a beautiful face and silky coat. They say she loves being lifted up for a cuddle or to lie on your lap and likes lying on her back for tummy tickles and tickles under her chin. She snuggles under the duvet with them and likes to accompany them on walks. She forms a close bond with 'her people' and is devoted to her owners, so loves to be involved in whatever they are doing.

She is a very sensitive and emotionally perceptive cat and unfortunately has become possessive of her owners with the other cats. She started attacking the others whenever her owners are around and her owners have tried everything to get her to accept the others again, but nothing has worked for more than a few days. I have suggested that perhaps a new home might be the best option for them all.

If you think you might know someone who would be a suitable home for Rolo, please let me know.

Layna really is the most ridiculously laid-back cat on the planet! We knew we'd get laid-back from Zorvi to Prickles but Layna really takes it to new levels. Absolutely adore this girl ❤️

Simba and Nala are looking for a new home due to their owner's ill-health. Simba has just turned 10 and Nala is 16 months and both are Asian Ticked Tabbies (cream ticked for Simba, brown ticked for Nala). They're great with children (their own household and friends) and are used to getting out into the garden during the day, so a home with a secure garden or somewhere well away from roads would be best, though I'm sure they'd quickly get used to an indoor-only home as well.

They are very close and love to sleep curled up together, so are looking for a home that can take both. Nala is petite (her current owner describes her as a 'forever kitten') and a little timid, but loves a cuddle and has a huge purr. Simba is a real lap-cat, always looking for a fuss and a cuddle. Both love to play with balls or any toy with a human at the other end, and Simba plays fetch with toy mice. They are up-to-date with vaccinations and neither has any health problems - Simba had 5 teeth out a couple of years ago, but no issues since, and occasionally needs one eye wiped due to a partly blocked tear duct, but it has never caused him any difficulties.

We will deliver them to their new home, along with some of their favourite toys, and they can also take with them beds, bowls, a cat tree and a litter tray, if their new owners would like those. For anyone who follows our cats, Simba is from our L litter ('Small', Cagaran Fileánta, to the Burmese boy, 'Quin', Mainman Quintessence), and Nala is from our U2 litter ('Fudge', Cagaran Giorsach Glan, to 'Meann', Cagaran Miann Mear).

If you know of anyone who might be interested in these guys, please let us know.

The cats love it when I have webinars because I like to connect my laptop to the TV and watch them on the bigger screen, so they get to cuddle up beside me on the sofa!

And then there were five...

We took Zenith to her new home in Glasgow on Friday so we're down to five for now, but Ash goes to his new place in Culross tomorrow. This litter are genuinely some of the most fabulous temperaments we've ever bred so it's particularly hard to see them go. We even considered stopping breeding and just neutering all six and keeping them. The homes for Zenith and Ash only came about because existing kitten owners brought friends round.

I should probably think about homes for Dapple and Chick, but there's no rush for that, right?! 😂

Matt says it looks like there's been a cat massacre (but without any blood). How many can you see?

So whilst Dora is home safe and unscathed, this is a classic example of why we don’t let kittens go to outdoor homes.

Asians do not have the hazard perception of a moggy and will happily chase a bird for miles before they realise they’re lost. We’ve tested how far from home Zori can orient on his lead, he can happily lead us round the block but if we turn off on to another street he’s instantly lost.

Dora was 0.7 miles away from home and utterly disoriented to the point it took her 10 minutes to let me pick her up. She’d been in that spot for 24 hours so clearly had no idea how to find her way back. A normal cat would have no issue scenting their way home for half a mile.

So please, don’t think that we’re being picky or paranoid by saying indoor/secured garden homes only, if this can happen to a 3 year old cat it can happen at any age.
