Congratulations to Raffa the Spanish Rescue for completing his Bronze Level Scent Detection Course. He has had to overcome so many setbacks on his journey but his confidence is beginning to grow and he is now more comfortable working around distractions with a job to do. It's been a pleasure to see how much joy scentwork brings to him and his owner. Great work!

Young cockapoo Mylo got off to a great start today in his scent detection journey. He worked with his owner on identifying the scent and learning how to let his owner know when he'd found it. Well done Mylo!

Buck can be quite anxious at times but is really keen to work. Giving him a job to do has really helped him focus. He is beginning to search more methodically and very quickly moved on to finding a very small piece of Kong. Great work Buck!

Rescue dog Loki has taken a long time to recover after an operation on his leg. His owners were looking for an enrichment which would tire him out and help him use his brain. He has excelled at scentwork and has an amazing nose. Today we worked him on everyday environments, which his owners can now use to their advantage. Great work Loki!

Some great sniffing from our Bronze Level class last night. It's so good to see the dogs beginning to understand what their job is and really enjoying the search. Particularly great to see the more nervous dogs who are doing great at overcoming their worries with a new focus.

Congratulations! Another great pair to complete the Bronze Level Scent Detection Course. Young Beze quickly learnt how to focus on the search and was able to clearly let her owner know when she had found the scent. It's been an absolute pleasure working with this girl and watching her confidence grow over the weeks. Well done Beze and her owner, looking forward to working with you on your Silver Level.

Young Rolo has been working hard on his indication and has been able to let his owner know when he's found the scent (gun oil) in a much calmer and clearer way, even when increasing the distance from him. This is something which he has found particularly difficult but through lots of short fun exercises, his owner has done a great job. 👏👏

This delightful chap, Aldworth, came for some introductory sessions this week. He very quickly picked it up and enjoyed working with his owners on identifying the scent and searching for it. Great start Aldworth!

This week Harley and his owner were working on searches in novel environments. Harley has made such great progress and is now beginning to realise that he has a job to do. Definitely his best week so far and so great to watch. Well done both of you.

These Labs have come such a long way. They are all quite different but have all developed their own way of searching and letting their owners know when they have found the scent. They've had so much fun and I am so happy to see the pleasure it brings their owners. Well done on completing the course and looking forward to seeing you in the continuation classes. 👏👏👏

The very handsome Buck came with his owner yesterday for an introductory session, before he joins our Bronze Level Scent Detection Class in January. Although Buck can be anxious at times, he had fun sniffing out his kong and earning his rewards.

Australian Kelpe Harley began his 6 Week UK Sniffer dog Bronze Level Scent Detection Course this week. This week he began to identify the scent, linear search techniques and how to let his owner know he'd found it. Well done Harley.

Week 4 Bronze Level Scent Detection Course and Loki worked on bag searches and indication today. He is learning to work in more challenging environments and despite the distractions, he did amazing. Great indication and he has begun to offer a sit and a down when finding the scent. Great to watch his progression. Well done Loki and his owner. 🐾👌

7 month old working cocker spaniel, Juno, is a busy dog always on the go. We have been working on different scentwork activities to help her and her handler develop a more focused and engaging activity to share when out on walks or just as a mental workout at home.
