Rosie's Pet Friends A professional friendly dog walking service based in Falmouth and surrounding areas 🐶🐕🦮🐾 We do this by offering dog walking, cat feeding and doggy day care.

Rosie's Pet Friends is run by me, Rosie Fellows, a 37 year old animal lover with a penchant for shoes. After studying for 4 years at university I moved from my family's small-holding in Worcester to London to pursue a career in fashion. Seven fantastic years and hundreds of pairs of shoes later, I found myself walking to work in Camden in walking boots realising that the footwear and the city didn

’t match. I moved from the bright lights of London to Macclesfield where I ran Rosie’s Pet Friends for two years and built up a trusting, loving client base. However, wanting to be closer to family and the lure of the sea-side and pasties have been too much and I have found myself in Falmouth, Cornwall. Being bought up on a small holding meant I was around animals every day. Animals ranging from dogs and cats to an Orange Winged Amazon Parrot named Jasper and two Donkey's called Bob and Digby. This gave me great experience with handling and approaching animals and the needs they have. I currently own a ten year old rescue dog called Rex, and a two year old rescue dog called Barbara. Rex came from a charity in London called All Dogs Matter, where he was found as a stray on the streets of Watford. Barbara was rescued from a kill shelter in Romania by Paws2Rescue and eventually made her way to us. Having two rescue dogs is not easy, as they come with their various issues, especially Barbara coming from a different country and extreme circumstances. However, it has given me great experience and insight into how dogs think and ways to manage this when out and about. Rex and Barbara often join me on my walking adventures and have many doggy pals because of it. Having lived in London whilst owning Rex I understand the worry of leaving our beloved pets at home whilst out at work, out with friends or on holiday. The demands of life make it harder for people to commit to having a pet, when there are so many that need homes. What Rosie's Pet Friends aim to achieve is to make it accessible for everyone to have the joy of owning a pet while maintaining a working and social life and to limit any stress or anxiety being left alone can create for your furry friend. Rosie's Pet Friends is a quality, personal, friendly service with an emphasis on animal welfare and love. Rosie's Pet Friends aim is for you, as an animal owner and therefore lover, to be safe in the knowledge that your pet is in safe and loving hands whilst maintaining the demands that life brings. Rosie's Pet Friends has public liability insurance and is fully first aid trained in canine care. Rosie's Pet Friends operate in Falmouth and within a 5 mile radius. If needed outside the 5 mile radius a charge of £1 for any extra mile driven will be charged.

Many years ago I got a call from a garage which was working on my car saying that in order to do some work on my brakes they needed to use quite a bit of force which may cause damage and they needed my permission to carry on.
My best mate ran his own garage some distance away, so I called him. His advice was, "Don't give them permission, they've already broken it." And they had.
If for some bizarre reason you placed your dog in for residential training (Why would you?) and they call you to let you know they may need to use a prong or e collar on your dog you can bet your life that they already have and have fu**ed it up. If they are working with you and suggest it then they are already out of their depth and are about to fall back on the only methods they know and need your permission to risk breaking your dog.

Having Barbara hasn't been smooth sailing. In fact it's been a total fu***ng shipwreck but she's stood into the light when all I could see was darkness. The treasured bond between Daisy and her first dog are memories that will live forever for our family.

She's the dog I never knew I needed and now I fear living without. Barbara, you're not a very good girl, but your good(ish) some of the time and turns out that's enough for us, as that means we get to love you, which we do, a lot.
